Lost Highway page

I notice that on the 3rd Osvillager added a link to the official Lost Highway page, which was subsequently removed by Stellmach. It seems to me that having a link to their record label's page about them is useful, why was it removed? Adam McMaster 10:50, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

1. Support. Well, this is seeing more resistance than I thought it would. I obviously support the move, but let me respond to the two points raised against it. The first, about the basketball team, is irrelevant, since "The Jayhawks" is already just a redirect to this page; if that team's article should be moved, that's a separate issue. The second, about the "the" often being lowercased, doesn't really hold water; do a web search on "the beatles" to see how often that band's name is given a lowercase "the". Their article still has the "the", as does just about every other band with that kind of name. Plus, note how the name appears on all their album covers. Korny O'Near 16:00, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

CoI and BLP issue

The Founding History of The Jayhawks The information in regards to the founding of The Jayhawks on this page is incorrect. Please stop changing the information back to incorrect information. It should read: The Jayhawks were formed in 1984 by Mark Olson and guitarist Caleb Palmiter. Mark and Caleb played a number of gigs together billed as The Jayhawks and included songs in their setlists such as "Let The Critics Wonder", "Martin's Song", and "Clouds". Both of these changes have been reverted, and will continue to be reverted until proper sources are provided. On an unrelated note - if there have been more than one person using your account, that needs to stop immediately. Sharing of accounts is not allowed per WP:NOSHARE. Each person editing Wikipedia needs their own account. Finally - as a matter of etiquette and courtesy, please do not change other people's comments on talk pages. I can provide this when I come home from work. It was taken by his mother Mariana. She was studying photography at the U of Mn. I will try to find a way to get this picture onto this page, even though the way wiki set up is so NOT user friendly. It is ridiculous. You are not getting rid of me insisting on the truth being in the public eye. If after you witness this picture, you continue to harass Mark Olson as the founder of this band, then I will be forced to take social media and lawyer worthy measures upon this situation, and I don't think you want this to happen. The list of members of this band here on Wikipedia already includes Caleb Palmiter, but does not acknowledge this person's founding role of this band in 1984. When the band made their first commercial album, Caleb was no longer a member, and The Jayhawks name eventually became owned by Olson, Louris and Perlman. Because of this, even though Louris and Perlman were not the original founders of the band, the consensus was that all 3 were the original founders, and so internet sources refer to this as accurate. At this time, the only document available to prove the correct founding history, is a black and white glossy promo band photo of Mark O. and Caleb P. The remaining current members of the band have agreed with Mark and Caleb, that Mark O. and Caleb P. were indeed the original founders of the band in 1984. Is it possible, that if written documents attesting to this agreement as fact are obtained from Mark O., Caleb P., and the remaining band members, would this satisfy and ensure definite documentation for this Wikipedia page?
