Splitting

edit

You say, " it actually does meet the policy you linked, and i checked before doing the split." Can you please explain how you came to that conclusion? WP:SPLIT has 2 components. The first is WP:SIZESPLIT, which states that articles below 40 kB do not meet the qualifications for split. At 6.9 kB, this does not come close to meeting that qualification. And WP:CONTENTSPLIT certainly doesn't apply, since this is dealing with the output of this artist. So please explain exactly how you come up with the statement that it satisfies the policy? @Onel5969: I experimented on my sandbox and it's over 58,000 characters, just under half of that is made up of the discography section, which is why I split it in the first place. I believe WP:SIZESPLIT applies here. versacespaceleave a message! 11:07, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
VersaceSpace, that makes sense, but I don't see how your coming up with that count? Are you using the page size function on WP? Or are you putting it into some type of program like Word, and using the word count there? Using the WP tool, the size, including the discography, reads, "Prose size (text only): 6902 B (1148 words) "readable prose size"". That's the count which is referred to in WP:SPLIT. Remember that tables are not included in page size as per WP:RPS. That being said, you can still open a discussion for splitting the page even if it doesn't meet the parameters of WP:SPLIT.
