Music
editDoes anyone know the classical composition that was playing whilst they reached the end of the Universe?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.27.91.70 (talk • contribs)
- This isn't really the place for this question, but my best bet would be that it was an original composition by the series music writer Christopher Tyng. They rarely outsource for music.Luminum (talk) 19:03, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Flight to Forever
editI would like to add details of a classic sci-fi story that very closely resembles the journey made by the professor, Bender and Fry. I was reminded of it while watching the show and have since identified it as Flight to Forever by Poul Anderson. The infosphere appear to have independently included it in their Trivia section for the episode. Where should it be added? Davey101 (talk) 17:03, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- This information should not be added to the article unless it can be verified in a reliable source. The Infosphere, while a great collection of Futurama information, is not a reliable source, see WP:RS. Were you to find a secondary source which confirmed a connection between the story and this episode then the information would be best placed in the "Cultural references" section. A connection of this type without a source is considered original research which is not allowed in Wikipedia. Hope this helps. Stardust8212 18:31, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
- Alas, I had already searched in vain for references before asking the question. Anyone who has read the story and seen the episode (and there appear to be very few of us) will tell you that the various similarities are too striking to be just co-incidence. Thanks anyway. - Yeah, but unless a reliable source comments on it, it doesn't meet notability, even if the comparison has been proven reliable (i.e. accurate). These kinds of things have to pass two layers of criteria: First, it has to be verifiable and then it has to be notable. Usually having it verified by a reliable source solves both criteria. Maybe one will pop up eventually? plus, DVD commentary is a great resource when it comes out.Luminum (talk) 16:44, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

I see the information did get added 10 years ago and the source is just a plot summary of the Poul Anderson story. Lol DaveHolden101 (talk) 18:37, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
Cyclical
editSomeone should mention in this article that, in the Futurama universe, time actually is cyclical - unlike "The Cryonic Woman" when Fry tells an unfrozen person from the 20th century that it is straight-line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.238.154 (talk) 18:31, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
Season 6/7?
editThe article says it was season 6, but it is really season 7. Whenever anyone tries to change it to season 7 (the correct season!!!), it is just reverted right away. Can we fix this??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1416domination (talk • contribs) 20:38, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- This is wrong, the correct season of The Late Philip J. Fry is season 6. This can be seen at Futurama_(season_6), with Futurama_(season_7) as comparison. The correct location of the episode is thus episode 7 of season 6, and this article should be edited accordingly. SlowImprovement (talk) 05:12, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
'Rick Potion No. 9' in See also section?
editThe Red Dwarf episode Ouroboros is mentioned in the See also section of Roswell That Ends Well due to a similar twist ending. The Rick and Morty episode Rick Potion No. 9 has a similar ending to that of The Late Philip J. Fry (The episode's conflict is resolved by characters replacing themselves in universes identical to there own, apart from its version of the characters abrupt death around the same time as the conflict begins/ends), should Rick Potion No. 9 be in this article's See also section? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.246.9.90 (talk) 23:36, 10 December 2016 (UTC)
Possible cultural reference : Broadway tower
editRegarding the castle in the Giraffes era :
Broadway Tower, Worcestershire
Not sure it is worth mentioning in the article. Putting it here in the discussion page for the moment.--Grondilu (talk) 07:55, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
