Stay Human (band) → Jon Batiste and Stay Human – Shouldn't this article be 'Jon Batiste and Stay Human'? Every reference to that band that I have seen refers to the two together, 'Stay Human' are not a separate entity, the other members of the band have not done anything together without Jon and just called themselves 'Stay Human'. This would be like the article on 'Florence and the Machine' being called 'The Machine'. This CBS article (http://www.cbs.com/shows/the-late-show-with-stephen-colbert/news/1005053/-the-late-show-ep-by-jon-batiste-and-stay-human-is-now-available/) states "The Late Show's house band, Jon Batiste and Stay Human, has released 'The Late Show EP,'", not "The Late Show's house band, Stay Human and band leader Jon Batiste, have released 'The Late Show EP,'". 81.100.25.160 (talk) 12:33, 21 May 2016 (UTC) relisted by SSTflyer at 02:42, 29 May 2016 (UTC)
- Weak Oppose. Batiste's own website (linked from the article) says "He went on to study at the Juilliard School and formed his band, Stay Human, soon after." I think we're more into "Paul McCartney and Wings" or "Elvis Costello and The Attractions" territory here - both of those bands have their own articles, despite having minimal existence independent of their lead singers. - Oppose per Tevildo. InsertCleverPhraseHere 05:48, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

New name vs new page
editThis page's name was recently changed to The Late Show Band in order to reflect the name change of Stay Human. However, since Stay Human was around long before Colbert's Late Show, I think it might make more sense to have two separate pages: one for Stay Human (band) and one for The Late Show Band which replaced it. Thoughts? Relinus (talk) 09:22, 14 August 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed - Stay Human was Batiste's backing band before they joined The Late Show. CaffeinAddict (talk) 05:46, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
