editSigh. This brings back the good ol' days. My senior year, we marched this song for our street competition. It's all about the trombone man.--Darkskedar 12:17, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Uh, He's Dead
edit- “It has since remained one of Sousa's finest works.”
Just how would it cease to remain one of Sousa's finest works? —12.72.68.168 10:38, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Who performed the Monty Python version? I never knew who did... (Curvebill 23:00, 5 February 2007 (UTC))
The Band of the Grenadier Guards, condusted by Major Rodney Bashford (I know this because I've got a 7" of the Monty Python version)-GeorgeFormby1 Actually, it says here: http://www.orangecow.org/pythonet that it was the Band of the Coldstream Guards. Rewrite needed
editThe "Composition" section really needs help. It is full is unjustified statements (e.g., "It is said that...") and ineffective attempts to describe the music with words. Except for the part about the novel use of chimes I think removal of this section would improve the article... Dlovrien (talk) 22:43, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Worships satan?
editWhats that bit about "because he worshiped satan" doing in there? I know nothing about the man, so i do not feel qualified to fix anything on this page, but that bit seems suspicious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.32.16.101 (talk) 04:41, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Taiwan
editIt's not worthy of a mention in the article but in the late seventies or early eighties there was a rumour going around that the tune was also that of the Taiwanese national anthem. A very faint memory attributes this to Kenny Everett. Am I going mad? Mr Larrington (talk) 14:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
My memory of the the liberty bell march being the Taiwanese national anthem was in an episode of 'Whicker's World' which featured Taiwan back in the 1970's, with a smiling Alan Whicker introducing it.--WiMiJo (talk) 00:12, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Bill Clinton
editI've heard this was played in full for Bill Clinton's inauguration in 1993. If it's true, might it be noteworthy? --79.193.60.47 (talk) 07:20, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Found it, it's on YouTube, starting here at 6:21 and going up until 9:10: [1] --79.193.60.47 (talk) 07:57, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
