1. Well done and 2. And or ampersand?

edit

1. Wow, well done Smerus for getting this up and running so fast. I am delighted to see it here.

2. Is it The Life and Death of Alexander Litvinenko or The Life & Death of Alexander Litvinenko and, indeed, does it matter? I had left the redlinked & version alone, thinking I had seen it thus in GPO publicity {You have to be quite old now to think that that "GPO" sounds funny ...) but maybe there is a reliable source that nails it ... or maybe it doesn't matter ... or something? What do you think? Best wishes to all DBaK (talk) 19:48, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Hi there DBaK, thanks for your comments. 'And' in my copy of the programme book - I was at the run-through on Wednesday. A brave effort, but really not v good qua opera. Ivan the Terrible aka The Maid of Pskov, the next day, was not so well sung overall but far more satisfactory experience. Also, but I didn't want to bring this into the article, the libretto falls for Litvinenko's pro-Chechen slant on affairs - the Russians were bloody in everyway in Chechnya but the Islamist faction there was no better imo. All best,--Smerus (talk) 21:38, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
