Who wrote this song?
editThe band's manager Michael S. Stone holds the copyright to the song and some of the singles released credit him (like this, this and this). Others, however, credit band member Chuck Conlon (like this and this). Conlon claims credit here, and, according to band member Sylvan Wells here, Conlon "wrote 'The Little Black Egg' lyrics and most of the song" (my emphasis).
