I just reverted an addition by User:FallenAngelll that said "Additionally, despite never before having even heard of Ursula at the beginning of the movie, Ariel actually meets her in the series." I believe this is arguable, because in the film when Flotsam and Jetsam say Ursula's name, Ariel immediately recognizes her name as the sea witch. Annie D01:52, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shall we add that Jim Henson's death led to a cancellation of Little Mermaid's Island. If he was still alive, the T.V. series perhaps wouldn't have happened. There are two articles such as "Little Mermaid's Island" on cbl.orcein.net & "Jim Henson's The Little Mermaid Island" on mouseplanet.

3 years late, but it wasn’t only his death that led to the cancellation of the live-action show; Henson was not even involved in the direction or production of the two episodes of that show that were completed, and he was disappointed by the pilot, most likely because the puppets were creepy-looking. That was probably the main reason the live-action show got scrapped. The aforementioned episodes had been completed a few months before his death. Of course, though, Henson’s death WAS the main reason that the planned Disney/Jim Henson Productions merger got scrapped (although between 1992-1997, Disney did hold worldwide distribution rights to the JHP library). 2601:4C4:4000:A8C0:99D7:8A04:5693:2C65 (talk) 01:10, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
