The review published in The Asahi Shimbun on December 9, 2018 is very short. It was published not in the book review column but in the column titled エンタメ地図 おすすめ3冊 (3 books recommended for entertainment maps). 東雅夫(HIGASHI Masao) mentioned "The Little One"(くろいの). Although "The Little One" is a book for children, '成人の琴線を烈しくふるわせる作品'[1] (it is a work that makes the chord of adulthood swing violently'. '白昼の日常と背中合わせの影の領域に関わる物語'[1] (It is a story related to the daily life in broad daylight and the shadow area that goes back and forth). HIGASHI Masao commented that '闇の中にそっと身をひそめる快感' (the pleasure of quietly hiding in the darkness) and '細緻な銅版画の技法で描き出された屋根裏ワンダーランドはたいそう魅力的'[1] (the attic wonderland created by the fine copper engraving technique is very attractive). I have created a new article くろいの in Japanese. Lmkjgmo (talk) 11:32, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
