Episode descriptions
editI'm updating the episode descriptions. Wikipedia clearly allows for longer ones. 76.217.12.210 (talk) 03:17, 30 October 2012 (UTC)barnakey
Protagonist
editSome information in this page hasn't even been made public yet and so for a TV show with a suspense theme, displaying the name of a protagonist(Red John) even before he/she has been viewed by the public is a major spoiler. The details of this protagonist whose identity hasn't been made public yet has to be removed until the relevant episode airs on TV.92.96.2.234 (talk) 09:10, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- It's gone. I wouldn't take it too seriously. Because there was no source it was probably just an IP thinking they'd be hilarious by trying to spoil everything. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 09:58, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
Bing Image
editThe Bing background image in "Red Lacquer Nail Polish" (March 3, 2013) is from the 16th September 2009 according to Bing Image Archive. 124.184.226.200 (talk) 15:12, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
Episode summaries and new episode links
editI think when new episodes air, we should remove some links since they've been aired and we need to write the summaries on those episodes without copying them from other sites. BattleshipMan (talk) 19:53, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- The page was protected because of an edit war I allowed myself to get drawn into. Another editor has been routinely been adding titles for upcoming episodes and refusing to provide a source. When reverted , they become extremely confrontational and seem unable to listen to reason. The user Aeusetereleiea needs to understand that providing a reliable source for upcoming titles is essential, otherwise it will need to be removed. As long as they supply a good source, it's all fine, but I don't hold much hope for this. So I think the page needs to be un-protected and we'll see if Aeusetereleiea causes any more trouble. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 03:13, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- I know. That's why I discussed this on this page. That user Aeusetereleiea will probably be disruptive for sure when this article gets unblocked. There should be links to sources for future episodes. I think that user should be blocked from editing indifinitely until that season of the Mentalist is over. I understand what edit war is like it. I had myslef an edit war in 2012 in film about the precise years of box-office number one films. One user removed the year of number one box-office years in cretain countries in highest-grossing films section and replaced it with Lists of box office number-one films, which only listed in different years in different countries. I wasn't happy because cretain years of film should be precise, not by country-by-country board. Then they changed the whole article with a sortable table which lists box-offices with years and set up piped links to years in cretain years of films, which somewhat statisfiedme. So I do hope this article will be unblocked soon. BattleshipMan (talk) 06:11, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- When the page is unprotected would you be able to help out should Aeusetereleiea start causing trouble again? If it's just me reverting then they're probably just going to keep at it, but maybe if other editors would keep an eye out for any bad edits it might discourage them a bit, or they might even learn to follow the rules. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 07:52, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Did you go to Incidents noticeboard or Dispute resolution noticeboard about Aeusetereleiea? BattleshipMan (talk) 17:27, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's how it was brought to Jayron32's attention. My incident report is here. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 08:15, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

- I just wrote a comment on your incident report. I hope it would shed some light on this. BattleshipMan (talk) 17:14, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Episode 16 viewership

I don't really care about the extra table numbers. Also, the episode's aired references need removed. — Wyliepedia 20:13, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
Episode 1 title
editOn CBS.com this episode is titled "The Red Glass Bead"

- The CBS episode guide is incorrect. The same website, in the photos section, calls the episode "The Crimson Ticket" as do many other official sources. It is also called "The Crimson Ticket" on the DVD release. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 00:20, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
Colour contrast problems
editIt seems that this article is using colours in the infobox which don't satisfy Wikipedia's accessibility guidelines. The contrast between the foreground colour and the background colour is low, which means that it may be difficult or impossible for people with visual impairments to read it.
To correct this problem, a group of editors have decided to remove support for invalid colours from Template:Infobox television season and other television season templates after 1 September 2015. If you would still like to use custom colours for the infobox and episode list in this article after that date, please ensure that the colours meet the WCAG AAA standard.
To test whether a colour combination is AAA-compliant you can use Snook's colour contrast tool. If your background colour is dark, then please test it against a foreground colour of "FFFFFF" (white). If it is light, please test it against a foreground colour of "000000" (black). The tool needs to say "YES" in the box for "WCAG 2 AAA Compliant" when you input the foreground and the background colour. You can generally make your colour compliant by adjusting the "Value (%)" fader in the middle box.
Please be sure to change the invalid colour in every place that it appears, including the infobox, the episode list, and the series overview table. If you have any questions about this, please ask on Template talk:Infobox television season. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:30, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
