Traditional 18th or 19th Century

Since the tune dates back a few hundred more years than 1926, you appear incorrect. The most commonly known version of the song today is probably the Raffi version from 1976 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raffi#Discography - Should probably reference that one in the list.
