Inspiration of Lyrics

I don't recall any published text (as opposed to Fannish chat) discussing this, but it's obvious to anyone who's read Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy that this song refers to the mind-controlling character "The Mule" from the second volume, Foundation and Empire. If anyone has time to chase down a citation, it would I think be a useful addition to the article.
