Book or TV adaptation?
editI've not read Asher's book so I can't comment with any certainty on the critical reactions cited here, however I think we need to be careful in distinguishing the feedback that was directed specifically at the TV adaptation. I think I'm right in saying that the adaptation was thought to be more unfair towards Philips than the book. McNab's letter to the Times, quoted in this article, is an example: he is reacting directly to the TV version, not the book (I checked the original letter on Nexis). I have made an edit to reflect this; might now be worth checking whether the other quotes concern the book or film. If many concern the latter, they may need to be moved to the separate entry for the film.Oxford Menace (talk) 23:30, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
