Track listing template
editAccording to WP:ALBUM/AB#Track listing, an album's track listing should "generally be formatted as a numbered list," and the template is designed to be used for "more complicated situations." More complicated situations is exemplified in the sub-section as being a track listing with a lot of information to display, and a simple list would look cluttered and messy. In addition to the official guideline, I have additional reasons for not using the track listing template on my user page here. In brief, I note that the template, when not being used in a complicated situation, doesn't seem to adhere to Wikipedia's policy on accessibility—specifically the accessibility of the information at different resolutions. I brought up this point in December 2009 at WP:ALBUM, now at WT:ALBUM/Archive34#This damn sentence.... Other editors supported my argument that accessibility should be kept in mind when selecting a track listing style. In summation, the track listing template should not be used in the article per the reasons provided. Fezmar9 (talk) 01:32, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
