Yifa Vs. Efa

edit

My apologies. I have no desire to walk over anyone's hard work, so I'm starting a discussion, rather than just making the edit: Īfa is referred to as "Yifa" in the episode titles, so I was confused why she was called "Efa" in other places within the article. As an aside, while my Japanese language skills are very limited, my first language is German and I believe her name to be the attempt to pronounce "Eva" (the German equivalent of "Eve") in Japanese. --80.141.73.26 (talk) 18:23, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Efa is the romanization Anime News Network used, but this was prior to the anime getting licensed. Crunchyroll uses Yifa, and that should be prioritized since neither the light novel nor the manga are licensed in English. Harushiga (talk) 18:42, 2 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for those insights. Based on those, I went forward and updated the Anime section. Noticing a recent edit, I also updated "Amu" to "Amyu" on the assumption that that name would be in a similar situation. I made them two different edits, so it would be easier to roll the latter one back, should that assumption later turn out as incorrect. --91.22.83.58 (talk) 11:26, 5 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
