Talk:The Rippingtons

Career

edit

The career section is outdated. It ends in 2014. It's also been mentioned that Russ is retired and the band is no longer active, but I can't find a source for this. If true, editing the career section and probably the main section with a source should be a priority.

Does it make sense to discuss their VHS 'Live in L.A.' tour video. While being out of print for a while, there still seems to be demand, as indicated on the Rippington's message board.

I tried cleaning up that part a little to make that section flow better. McFortner (talk) 03:23, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would recommend changing the first paragraph from "Freeman has been the only consistent member" to "Freeman created the Rippingtons as a band of contract musicians by design". Russ has stated this in interviews. I have followed Freeman and the Rippingtons closely for over 15 years and consider myself an authority on the band. Thanks for creating this page. Nocturnal Playground

edit

Nocturnal Playground is not a Rippingtons release. Russ Freeman released that album under his own name on Brianchild shortly before Moonlighting was released. (Jazzcat23--too lazy to sign-in today) 203.110.206.180 (talk) 10:45, 22 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

By the way, the link to Built to Last incorrectly leads to an album by Hogan's Heroes. I wasn't sure about the correct fix (how to now properly name the articles of the two albums) so I didn't touch the article. 80.223.182.224 (talk) 18:30, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
