I cleaned things up a bit and expanded the bit on recurring characters into full bio sections. The whole thing needs a second party to check it over to make sure I didn't make any mistakes, as well as mentioning who plays which character (I know Jordan does Paulie but it looks off if there's only one name there). If anyone has an official source about potential copying of the sketches from other shows (or, of course, other sketch shows copying sketches from Third Degree that were later reused in Ronnie Johns), it would be welcome. It says in the H5AMD section that the 3rd degree had a fatwa placed against them for promoting tolerence. This doesn't seem to make sense to me. Is it supposed to read intolerence or is the Mufti really against tolerence? Ted BJ 05:14, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

These are all stubs!

Hi all. I think we need to expand on the different sketches (i.e., perhaps we should add details of each Chopper Read sketch.). Otherwise, this article is one big collection of stubs! I disagree. While it is important to not neglect any major facts or details (as per the featured article criteria), it's also important to realise that it shouldn't cover every aspect of the show in minute detail, and I think that means that while it's important to explain who each of the recurring characters is, and give an explanation of their skits in general, listing every single piece of minutiae about everything would just make the page far too bloated. If you look at an average article, most of the sub-sections would be stubs if they had their own articles, but as part of the larger article are just the right size. Chopper and Swearing

The article talks about a 6 "fuck" per minute rule, but I looked at ACMA's guidelines and the only thing it said was that a show could be rated MA if it had swearing that was necessary to the plot, or something. I feel that this has been pulled out of thin air. The show is rated M not MA. (only 2 episodes out of 18 have been rated MA). Also Censorship occurs in house, Channel 10 decides how it will censor and restrit its shows not ACMA. Both seasons of Ronnie Johns have been rated M, which comes as no surprise. The use of the word "fuck" was infrequent, as the word was only used in ONE scene per episode, therefore it was not frequent (or aggressive) enough to warrant an MA15+ rating on DVD. In the context of the show, the language was comedic and relatively infrequent.

As the poster above me has mentioned, TV ratings are made in-house, and their ratings are usually rather inconsistent. I have seen countless episodes of TV shows that were rated G that deserved a PG; PG shows that deserved a G or M; and MA15+ rated shows that deserved an M. Sillygostly 04:10, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah i was watching the DVDs yesterday and today and in the commentry the bloke who plays Franklin says that he first made the voice as a blank screen skit but then changed the video of the skit, in the long run, he does the voice. ---The Great One 10:45, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

When did this series of skits begin? I watched all the eps the other night on DVD (with some mates, im not a freak, lol) And i dont recall ever seeing this skit once, if it only came on once then theres a chance i missed it, but if it was onlt once then there is no point in adding it on the page.---The Great One 12:30, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I didn't watch the show but I'm working on the Sam Simmons wikipedia page and his management's website on him says that he wrote for this show in 2006. Can anyone confirm this? "Harden the Fuck Up" - Chopper Read bit - reference it (in 2014, now)?

Can we (and shouldn't we) at least mention the Chopper Read "Harden the Fuck Up" bit starring Heath Franklin? It's become one of the most well-known bits from the show, and has millions of views on YouTube. I was surprised not to see it included with the mentions of some of the other Chopper bits from the show.
