Spoiler
editSpoiler in the Miscellany! Nana dies?!? Shouldn't this be marked?? Don't know how to do this! Little bit drunk.
Sheridan Smith and Ralf Little
editI've stubbed the Sheridan Smith (Emma) article. I mention in that that Ralf Little and Sheridan Smith play boyfriend and girlfriend in both Royle Family and Two Pints Of Lager. Anyone think this factoid is worth including in this article as well? pomegranate 22:12, Mar 24, 2005 (UTC)
Series section
editI've rejuvinated most of the sections.. just need an episode guide.. and to pad out the series section.
The return
editDon't know why my attempts to pin this down to october keep getting reverted to Xmas but there you go.I know it is odd why this isn't being saved til xmas but there's schedulers for ya.
here is the reference http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tv/wk44/unplaced.shtml#unplaced_theroyles
its due to go out in the BBC's week 44. ie: the last few days of oct/first few days of nov but is currently "unplaced'..ie: they will wait to see what ITV are up to first before committing to a day/time. Jem 16:37, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Song
editDoes anyone know who sang the version of "Scarlet Ribbons" used during the hospital scenes in the 2006 episode.....? ChrisTheDude 13:45, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm 99% certain Its by Sinead O Connor on her 1992 covers album; Am I not your girl ? Jem 17:19, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
Lewis or Louis
editBy way of proof, can anybody settle the argument whether the son is called Lewis or Louis. Suitable evidence would be of a screencap of the end credits.. -Mikay 16:58, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
There's one on my talk page of "Lewis" - The Sun must've got it wrong, they printed Louis, hence my reverting of the "Lewis". Trampikey (talk to me)(contribs) 17:01, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well that settles it.. I fell victim to thinking the original was correct. Thank you -Mikay 17:38, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Norma Orchard Tallulah Porscha Best
editIsn't that more likely to be "Portia"? Rojomoke (talk) 21:30, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Anthony's year of birth
editI have changed Anthony Royle's year of birth from 1981 to 1983, as he says in one of the episodes of the first series that he is 15 years old. Swaddon1903 (talk) 15:13, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
But then I watched one of the episodes of the second series, and it's his 18th birthday, so he probably was born in 1981 after all. Swaddon1903 (talk) 09:43, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- It is not a real life documentary set in a real life year. It is all fictional. We only need to know the character's age in the actual episode, where it is mentioned, not a year of birth. Format (talk) 00:07, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Filming Location
editIn case it is of any interest, the second series at least was filmed at Pinewood Studios in London. I attended a friend's wedding there in the Summer of 1999 and the full cast were filming there the night of the wedding. Pinewood Studios was always a film studio, which is probably why they filmed there (being put on celluloid).
Edit: just remembered, it was Ealing Studios I was at, not Pinewood. There were photos surrounding the bar of scenes from the original Ladykillers film, and that was filmed at Ealing. So the Royle Family was filmed at Ealing.

- Film can be shot anywhere. It is essentially a stand alone medium. Use of film does not indicate something must have been shot in a traditional studio. Format (talk) 00:09, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Antony and Emma - did they marry?
editAnyone? It's unfortunate to say they got engaged and six years later were seperated without mentioning if the marriage took place or not, but if the series has never mentioned Antony's marital status from 2006 onwards then there's nothing to be done about it. As far as I recall it's never been clarified, but does anyone know any better? (I guess something may have been mentioned in Joe's Crackers, if anyone's got the DVD.)
