Talk:The Secret Garden (musical)

The Broadway show closed on January 3, 1993 but I'm having trouble adding that to the box-thing on the right side. Could someone with more formatting experience help me out? Lmr5069 22:34, 15 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Secretgardenbroadwayalbumcover.jpg

edit

Image:Secretgardenbroadwayalbumcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Time period

edit

According to the script (p8) the time is 1906.[google books]. JeanColumbia (talk) 21:09, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I changed the date for the setting from 1911 to 1906, based on the script. (I note that the IBDB also shows 1906, but the guidetomusicaltheatre.com "Story" shows 1911 in 1 place but further in that article shows the setting as 1906. In my opinion, the script is the primary source and is the one to follow.JeanColumbia (talk) 19:55, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
In the liner notes for the original Broadway cast album, the setting is stated as 1911; perhaps this conflict should be specifically noted in the entry? The Australian "highlights" album contains no date reference at all, and I don't have access to the London RSC album to check that. --Wombat1138 (talk) 20:18, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sure, lets' just note it in the entry. Usually I would not make an issue of this, but I thought the date might be related to a cholera episode and so needed to be historically accurate. The pandemic of 1899-1923 covers either the 1906 or the 1911. I note the original book was published in 1909, according to girlebooks.com but 1911 @ www.archive.org, so no particular clue there. It's a mystery, I like your solution! (Note in the entry.) JeanColumbia (talk) 20:45, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Dream Cast" recording?

edit

Was the 2005 World AIDS Day Benefit concert recorded for broadcast or commercial release? YouTube has some scattered clips, but they seem to be bootleg videos-- is there an official CD, or anything of that nature? --Wombat1138 (talk) 06:18, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
