A short, but comprehensive and mostly well-written article about a very bad game (IMO). Here's what needs to be fixed:
- Lead and infobox
made for the PlayStation video game console. – Remove “video game”, as you’ve already mentioned that it’s a video game, so it’s assumed it’s for a video game console. It was released in North America on April 12, 2001, and in the PAL region on March 22, 2001. - The release date for PAL should come first as it's before the NA release date.sixteen – should be spelled out in numbersrichly detailed – reads like POV to me. I’d remove it.This sentence sound weird to me: Video game critics gave the game a mixed reaction, and it receiving an aggregated score of 32% on Metacritic.” I’d change it to something like: Critics had mixed opinions about the game; it received an aggregated score of 32% on Metacritic.Pin (wrestling) redirects to Pin (amateur wrestling)- Since the game was only released for the PlayStation, shouldn’t the image of the PS box art seen here be used? I know that when games are released for several consoles, clean artwork is preferred, but in this case it’s only one platform. I don’t know what the agreement is on this, so it’s your call.
- IMO it looks better the way it is now.
Single player redirects to Single-playerMultiplayer redirects to multiplayer video game
- Gameplay
An image of the gameplay would be nice. The link to Bumblebee Man should be retargeted to List of celebrities in The Simpsons#Bumblebee Man as he is not featured in the list of recurring characters.Power-ups redirect to power-up.The game can be played in two modes, either a tournament style single player game or a grudge match where two players can interact. - switch the comma out with a colon, remove “either” as it’s unnecessary, and hyphenate single-player.Richly detailed – same as beforeWikilink Springfield as it’s the first time it appears in the body.Wikilink taunt as some readers may not understand the term in this context.
- Development
At the E3 Media and Business Summit in 2000 – it was known as Electronic Entertainment Expo at that timePlayStation video game console – same as beforeMarch 12, 2001, - comma not necessary after the dateUnited States and Canada – North America is better IMOI would wikilink "interactive entertainment".
- Reception
receiving an aggregated score of 32% on Metacritic. - This is already in the reviews table, so it seems unnecessary.- Nothing from Game Rankings?
- I replaced Metacritic with Game Rankings in the reception section.
the game's gameplay – Cut ”game’s”and commented that game is "fun" because the comedy is straight from the television show, and that the characters will "bring a smile to your face". – Reads a little awkward to me. Change it to something like: and thought it was "fun" because the comedy is straight from the television show, and the characters will "bring a smile to your face".Reiner also commented positively on the audio track by saying that the only enjoyment garnered in the game is from it. – You’ve already used “audio track” so I suggest using “soundtrack” this time.British Broadcasting Corporation redirects to BBC. Also, I think most people recognise it by its acronymAfter reading through the reception section, it seems the game received mostly negative reviews and not a mixed reception. You may want to change that.
Once these issues have been addressed, I'll take another look at the article. The Prince (talk) 06:03, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
