editThe article says the author "denies plagiarism". Would it be possible to use a more precise quotation, if the comment is notable? I had thought that plagiarism usually refers to incorporating text or ideas without acknowledgement, and certainly the author acknowledges his debt to Dumas...
I was confused when I read the sentence in question. Perhaps there is some way to alleviate the confusion. 209.252.104.131 (talk) 19:18, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Reception
editIt seems one critic finds the book “ a trifle banausian”; I've added a link, so people might know what he meant. OTOH, although the word translates as “mechanical”, it is more of an insult along the lines of “plebean”, so (as the writer then talks about clockwork) it isn't clear if he is insulting the book in a high-brow sort of way, or is just using a big word he doesn't fully understand. Either way, is the review worth keeping? Swanny18 (talk) 23:56, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
