Widely regarded as the best? By who??
editI've commented out (so it can be reworded later) "The newspaper is widely regarded as one of the best in the United Kingdom, winning awards for its design and content, and with many of its writers going on to become internationally renowned journalists.". Never mind the POV nature, I'd say quite a lot of students here (UoE) would disagree with the first part. I wouldn't take the view of an ex-president of the newspaper (who started the article) as exactly widely.
As to the second part, maybe (someone more knowledgeable than me) actually listing some of the awards Student has won? Same regarding the later becoming renowned journalists part. That way the article would expand a bit and we wouldn't just have single sentence paragraphs. Other parts that could be put in maybe a small Controversy section as well? Like the (couple?) of times that it made an error of judgement and got threaten with lawsuits. Just some suggestions, ignore me if you will. -- KTC 02:03, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Ha! Point taken. But it is (or, at least, was) widely regarded as one of the best in the UK by people in the industry, if not by our own dear collegagues at the uni. I'll add some more stuff into this article before I forget it all. --taras 22:08, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Student1900.jpg
editImage:Student1900.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Robert Louis Stevenson
editIt is claimed in the article that the student was founded by Robert Louis Stevenson. I have been unable, after a quick google search, to find any reference to back up this rather bold claim apart from a single sentence on the students own website, which does not qualify as sufficient evidence. I have therefore removed the claim until it can be reinstated with reference. User:Theotheothelonious 14:00 GMT 18th August
