It's not a very good idea to leave your email address on a website such as wikipedia. Especially if you are hoping for a email from Dylan or/and Cole, chances are that if you do get an email, It's not them. --Jennie Ambrose 21:37, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Where does anyone think I should add in "Zack and Cody treat The Tipton like their own personal playground"??? Should I put it in their biographies or in the summary?
Does anyone else feel that Raven-Symone's character Lisa should be removed from the "Recurring Characters" section since she only appeared in one episode (and it may never air). Tazz765 02:24, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- It can be added a section containing all the guest stars. Maybe I'd be a good idea... --Doctor01 22:34, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good idea. How does this look:

- Where would this information go? The article page only has a listing of episodes - which keeps the article easy to read - so it wouldn't fit here. The individual episode pages already have a listof guest stars - albeit without saying who they played. Given that most of the "guest stars" played small roles and are relative unknows, it seems excessive. If you wanted to list famous guest stars like Jesse McCartney, Caroline Rhea, and Raven-Symone, that would hold general interest. But noting who played a waitress in an episode seems like something better suited for TV.com or IMDb.com where they are listed that way. IMDb has begun to give every episode its own page with full listings of the cast and the requisite links to any other appearance in TV or movies (pretty similar to the well done list above). Wikipedia cold never match that breadth of information. I think the layout of the above is great - I am just unclear where it would properly fit in without being accused of "Listcruft" or similar trivia. MKaiserman 13:25, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- Glad you guys like it! This would probably be easier to put on the article (We could take off anyone with hardly significant roles; to tell you the truth, I just copied the stars off of TV.com):

I don't think the episode even exists because the plot is exactly the same as Fairest of Them All and TV.com shows the same guest star as Tyresha. Codylan 05:39, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Well, the episode should exist. It's reported at tv.com (http://www.tv.com/suite-life-of-zack-and-cody/for-love-or-money/episode/413591/summary.html). Reven-Symone isn't mentioned there. I think that episode must be aired somewhere (Uk or Canada) yet. --Doctor01 18:16, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
I think Lisa should be taken off. You don't see Ilsa on the "Recurring Characters" and she's on two episodes.
Could the person who keeps adding Lisa to the list of recurring characters please not do it? She is only in 1 episode, so she isn't a recurring character. --Jesussaves 17:07, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Age of Zack and Cody
I thought that Zack & Cody were 11, not 12, so I changed it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, the offical website of the serie (http://psc.disney.go.com/disneychannel/suitelife/characters/index.html) reports they were 12 at the beginning.--Doctor01 22:31, 25 January 2006 (UTC)
Oh, sorry!
- In the episode "Commerical Breaks," Zack says, "We're pushing 12!". The Disney website appears out-of-date as the characters are now 11-years-old (the show has been on for almost a year). So even though the official website says something apparantly incorrect, can't we list them as now being 11? MKaiserman 13:46, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
In a TV Serie is normal that stars grow up. The page must report only the beginning age (I added the sentence "at the beginning of the serie" to be more precise). I think it is enough. The Disney website reports the twins' age at start of the serie. Can't be changed age every time they'll reach a different age.--Doctor01 17:48, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- No, in "Commercial Breaks," Zack says "We're pushing 13!", not "We're pushing 12!". In season 2, they are 13.The Runescape Junkie 01:08, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Referring Facts to Specific Episodes
In the descriptions of the main characters there are several references to specific episodes (for example, referring to London: "In "Kisses & Basketball," it is revealed her dad's name is Wilfred." Since every single fact could be cited, it'd clutter up the article. Can't we just refer to facts about the characters without identifying the episodes they came from? If people feel otherwise, wouldn't we then need to back up every single statement in the article with an episode reference? I propose removing unneeded episode references (such as referring to London: "It has been revealed in the episode "Poor Little Rich Girl" that she likes peanut butter." - Isn't "She likes peanut butter" enough? MKaiserman 03:59, 4 February 2006 (URT)
Zack and Cody's Age
Are Zack and Cody's Age really 13 already in the second season? It hasn't been mentioned that they're 13 yet so should the fact that they're 13 be included in the ploy? -Rosepuff12 16:25, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Cody made reference to their age being 13 in “Moseby's Big Brother “, which aired today, 3/23/06. -Aperiodic Can you come to my house? My address is Bellport Drive 217 Greenville SouthCaorline. Give me a E-mail. My E-mail address is hentzc@charter.net.

Unsourced information
There is quite a bit of unsourced information in the article, that is probably just speculation and forum rumours. Can anyone cite sources for the following:
- Disney Channel has stated that this show could surpass That's So Raven in episode count and season numbers. They expect over 100 episodes and maybe a 5th season.
- The episode "For Love or Money" was banned on American TV due to similarities to "The Fairest of Them All". However, it has shown in several other countries. The episode had Raven-Symone as Lisa. (Was it banned, or just not shown due to similarities?)
- Disney viewers were disappointed on the show using the loud, laugh track in every scene which occurs on small lines or acts. This caused its votes from local TV polls to slip near the end of Season 1 and the beginning of Season 2. (It may be annoying, but whose opinion is this?)
- The show was about to be PG-rated because most of the humor involves topics for kids from age 13. (Needs citation)
- The original name of London Tipton was supposed to be Paris. They changed the name to "London" to avoid plagiarism and end up in court. (Needs citation)
Those are just a few things that stick out, any way to improve these statements or source them would be great! --lightdarkness (talk) 23:32, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Unsourced information removed and should only be re-added once each item has been verified. --Aperiodic 17:27, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
This section was under Theme Song and is either unsourced or original content. It shouldn't be put back in until a source is found.
- The theme song contains a sampled music piece that matches a guitar riff in the song Ballroom Blitz by Sweet. It is unknown if this is hidden wordplay (as the band name and the TV show title match), or intentionally interesting because The Suite Life takes place in a posh hotel (ballroom reference). It is highly unlikely the target age demographic would recognize this subtle musical nuance; the song was released in 1973 and did not reach U.S. shores until 1975. The easily remembered #2 U.S. hit music piece may cause some baby boomer and early Generation X parents to wax nostalgic. The lyrics are not posted since it is licensed with strict policies to an anonymous songwriting-publishing company.
Discussion and Corrections within the article
When editing the article with either updated or corrected information, please either rewrite that portion of the article or discuss the changes here. The article should only consist of factual, non conflicting information.
Here is an example of what I mean: “*In Cody Goes to Camp, Warren says Boston is far away (he was never shown in Season 1 again) but in Season 2, he lives and attends school in Boston. (Correction: Daniel Kallis writes to a fan regarding this claiming that Warren moved to Boston in Season 2.)”
Not only does this create a conflict within the article, but it’s also hearsay.
Continuity error
In continuity errors, it states that Maddie's school uniforms are different from A Prom Story to Forever Plaid. That said, A Prom Story is in season one and Forever Plaid is in season two. Is it possible that the school may change their uniforms from year to year, or just had changed them that year?
In Heck's Kitchen, London opens the 'out' door, hitting a waiter and closes the 'in' door. Would someone mind including that within the article? Thanks
When Zack said he got his first “B” but in A Prom Story he gets a 85 on a test perhaps he didn't know that 85% and a “B” are the same thing

Theme Song
Is this information true or not about the theme song: The theme song contains a sampled music piece that matches a guitar riff in the song Ballroom Blitz by Sweet. It is unknown if this is hidden wordplay (as the band name and the TV show title match), or intentionally interesting because The Suite Life takes place in a posh hotel (ballroom reference). Because if it's true, it should definitly be up. any citations or anything?
In a magazine,Brenda Song said that the theme song was going to be Grow Up by Simple Plan but it ended up being the one it is now.
Found Citations
Anyone want to confirm that these can be added on the article now? I can't be crtain these are 100% true.
Disney Channel has stated that this show could surpass That's So Raven in episode count and season numbers. They expect over 100 episodes and maybe a 5th season.
http://www.aboutzackandcody.com/zc/The-Suite-Life_article15.aspx
It would be great to include this in the article, but the source of the information is not reliable. I would consider this information hearsay until its accuracy can be authenticated. (Aperiodic 01:48, 27 April 2006 (UTC))
The episode "For Love or Money" was banned on American TV due to similarities to "The Fairest of Them All". However, it has shown in several other countries. The episode had Raven-Symone as Lisa.
http://www.abitabouteverything.com/files/t/th/the_suite_life_of_zack_and_cody.html
Many sources confirm that the episode was/will not be shown, but the use of the word "banned" may not be accurate. Choosing not to air an episode in a specific region does not indicate that it was banned. (Aperiodic 01:48, 27 April 2006 (UTC))
Housebroken??
On April 28, it was announced that a spin-off titled Housebroken would focus on Arwin and his sister. We need a citation for that (if it's true), and if it is, should it even need to be on this page?
- I've removed it. It's unverifiable, and cites no sources. And frankly, doesn't sound real. If someone can provide a reliable source, please cite it before re-adding it. --lightdarkness (talk) 19:25, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed it again. It is not relevant enough to this article. It is also not verifiable (Aperiodic 15:51, 5 May 2006 (UTC))
- Here are two links to articles which confirm Housebroken: http://www.movieweb.com/tv/news/56/12356.php and http://www.tv.com/story/story.html&story_id=4321 Tazz765 17:32, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

- It looks good to me. should we put it back up?
The Show
Starting with season 2, it seems as if the show is revolving around school. Also, with Maddie's and London's relationship. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.99.41.23 (talk • contribs) 14:27, April 30, 2006
Trivia Section
I got the Dylan and Cole show title from sprouse-fans.com; they were previously deleted but please don't do it.
Too Unsuccessful?
NOTE: As of 11/8/2006, a press release from Disney Channel stated that, "[The show] is too unsuccsesful. It is all right with the younger kids, not so much the [adults]." Including the coming up espisodes, an exclusive last holiday episode is to be shown near Christmas, and after that, the show is cancelled, no re-runs. "We see it as quite a loss," said Henry Chan, one of Suite Life's directors, after the press release.
I took that out because it obviously seems fake and theres no proof. Does anyone have any evidence to back up this statement? 199.74.79.150 16:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Contiunity errors
What the heck happened to all of the continuinity errors? They used to have a million.People took them off for no apparent reason.User:fudgehed
- No. They weren't taken off for "no apparent reason." It was clearly documented in the edit descriptions that removed them. Every episode of the Suite Life has an entire Wiki article devoted to it. That is where all bloopers, continuity errors, etc. belong, and the vast majority of them listed here were already redundant to the episode articles. The ones that didn't already exist in the episode articles were merged in and deleted from this one. All attempts to add anything like that back to this article should be reverted out. Debuskjt 14:14, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- And the reasoning was also documented in the "Continuity Errors and Trivia" section of this page before the edits were done. Debuskjt 14:27, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Charachters
HOw is corrie a main charchter and not Estaban or Arwin --Cnriaczoy42 18:30, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. I think esteban and arwin should be put in the main characters, even though corrie is gonna be maddie's assistant, but that's not until season 3!
- Ok, I rearranged them. user:Yoshi032192
WHO'S CORRIE?!?!Atomic45 08:22, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- First off, calm down. Second, its Carrie, not Corrie. And she's the Twins mother, that's why she was listed as the main character. Unforgotten 21:00, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Wait!!!!You don't understand- there's a Carrie(the boys' mom)and there's Corrie(Maddie's friend, or as London refers to her,"The weird, freaky one").Also, who took off the fact that stated Corrie was going to be w/ Maddie at the candy counter? Do you think you could tell me where you learned that from?! I really want to know. Tini 8 20:47, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Esteban appears in all the episodes except for, The Fairest of Them All, Maddy Checks in, Footloser, Big Hair and Baseball, Kisses and Basketball, Crushed, Odd Couples and What the hey. I agree! Corrie only appears in 3 episodes, and Arwin and Esteban play major roles in many of the episodes, such as "Loosely Ballroom" "It's a Mad Mad Mad Hotel" "Kisses and Basketball and more. Sorry, I'm probably not allowed to say "and more" but those ones are the only eps I have checked Happykid536 23:00, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Corrie is a recurring character and doesn't get listed. Esteban and Arwin are supporting characters, more important than recurring, but still not main. We list only main characters. Main characters are those who play significant roles in the majority of the episodes and whose actors are considered episode starts and not just guest stars. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 23:17, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Continuity error
I am just wondering, why was the continuity errors section deleted? I think it should be put back up. user:yoshi032192
- See Contiunity errors and Continuity Errors and Trivia for the reasoning. Debuskjt 14:35, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
i dont think london acts like paris <----------- who ever said this is an idiot. Obviously she cant be as slutty as Paris, due to the fact that it is on Disney, but she is certainly a Paris Double
Too much blue links?
Everytime I read through this article, it seems as if there is way too much episode citation. It takes up alot of room in the characters sections, and alot of it needs to be deleted. We should only cite things that seem as if they really need it!
- I agree, do we really need to know every episode a character appear on or that Cody has a Nintendo DS and gets car sick? Tazz765 01:46, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Recurring Characters
I do not think that Arwin or Esteban should be with the Major characters because they are not shown in the opening sequence.
I agree. If you notice, all the major charries are in every episode, and Arwin, Estaban, and Corrie are not.
others section
Why is there an "Others" section? This seems unecessary. So we shouldn't have put them in main characters, then put them back in the regular recurring characters section.
Muriel
On the Movie Network it states that Muriel appears in 8 episodes. On Wikipedia, it shows Muriel with an episode count of 13. I've changed it to 8 for Season 1. Unless anybody lists the 13 episodes Muriel's been I think it should stay at 8. --Laisinteresting 16:26, 12 June 2007
Muriel appears in 12 episodes. She appears in Hotel Inspector, The Prince & The Plunger, Band in Boston, Cody Goes to Camp, To Catch a Thief, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Hotel, Poor Little Rich Girl, Cookin' With Romeo and Juliet, Rumors, Big Hair & Baseball, The Ghost of 613, Pilot Your Own Life. (Random Ranaun)
'Englishness' of The Suite Life
The assertion in the first sentence that this programme is 'English' is highly misleading. None of the actors are English; the production company is not English; so far as I know, none of the technical staff are English. The only sense in which the show is English is that it is English-language (and, even then, it is American English). In the interests of accuracy (perhaps even pedantry), I have therefore replaced said reference with 'American'.
Continuity Errors and Trivia
These sections have gotten way out of hand and although they may be fun, it detracts from the article. You would never find trivia and continuity errors like this in any other encyclopedia and it’s not appropriate content for Wikipedia either.
I think we need to discuss how these areas should be cleaned up and get it done. I suggest limiting the trivia section to maybe three or four supported points and eliminating the “Continuity Errors” section entirely.
Seriously, much of this stuff would be better located on a fan site than here. (Aperiodic 03:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC))
- How about we just delete some of the stuff that, honestly, is not important. who cares if the show started filming in september whatever. Just small, little facts. And same thing for the goofs section. we should get rid of little things like, ift he person's hair is flipped back and not in different parts. We should only keep the goofs that are incredibly obvious. --Jak 14:34, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I cleaned up alot of it, and personally, I think it looks a whole lot better.--Jak 14:57, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- I think it looks a lot better! I also removed the line about mattresses being visible in a couple of episodes. It's not really a continuity issue and not really worthy of inclusion in the trivia section. (Aperiodic 16:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC))
- Hate to beat a dead horse, but why are we even keeping the bloopers section at all? Only in the most extreme places, the section is subjective. Furthermore, that information should be in the article for the episode, not this one. Most of the trivia also belongs on the actor pages or in the individual episodes as well. Debuskjt 00:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
recurring characters table
I don't know where this table came from, but i think that we should put it up on the article. Is there a place where we can check the episode numbers on it? Does anyone else think we should check the numbers, then put it up?

CHARACTER CLEAN-UP!!!
Okay, The list of characters is getting WAY out of hand. It looks wicked messy now and there's too many people. I think the rule should be:
Minor characters: Have appeared in 3 episodes.
Recurring characters: Have appeared in 5 episodes. --Jak 20:09, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- I DISAGREE, I think that it was completely fine! Candyo32 21:09, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- I just did a little clean up my self right now. I took off about 10 characters that were completeley unnecessary. we dont need people like Trevon on it, Gary and rich, and there was even Jesse Mcartney. People just want to contrubut to the page, they dont care what it is, they just think if they put something on it, then they're special or something. --Jak 14:58, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Jak.
--Cute 1 4 u 19:53, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- I also agree. There are too many characters and minor details about them. Who cares what their favorite color or food is? Tazz765 19:56, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree with Jak. However, Jesse McCartney and Zac Efron are two popular guest stars among the Disney Channel community. Therefore, I have added a section called "Guest Stars", including Jesse McCartney, Zac Efron, Raven-Symoné, Anne-Marie Johnson, Miley Cyrus, and Billy Ray Cyrus. --walkingencyclopedia 19:09, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
- well no offense, but i still think it looks kinda messey. The Thats so suite life of hannah montana hasn't even been premeired yet! Lets atleast wait until then to put it on. And once again, some characters like chef palo, irene, gary and rich DO NOT belong on this page. some characters are just created for one episode to fill in a part for somethingi n the plot, they have been in one episode, so they're not recurring or even minor characters! From now on, i think that they should have to have been in at least TWO episodes to be considered a minor characters, and they have to have been big parts. for example, jessica and janice have had some big parts, so i left them in it, but norman, definitly doesn't need to be in it.--Jak 02:28, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
That so suite life of hannah montana HAS premiered, that depends on where you live and how the schedule is.Atomic45 08:29, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Do we really need the GAMES section up there? It jsut seems like anopther excuse someone made up to make a contribution to this page. It also kinda strikes me as a small advertisment ploy, but thats just me.--Jak 22:45, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Minor and Recurring Characters!
Okay. for the last time, MINOR CHARACTERS HAVE TO HAVE HAD AT LEAST TWO MAJOR ROLES! Noreman the doorman, irene, and all tose people don't count! and for the thats so suite life of hannah montana, lets atleast wait for it to premeir, and see who is definitly in the suite life part of it, then we can put it back up with accuracy. and the recurring characters, are big character like esteban and awin who have had around around 10 appearences. and then there are some people like Muriel and max who have only been in a couple, and they can still be in it. But we have to be harsh on who goes in minor characters section or else it will end up being 50 characters long! i mean look at what it has become after 1 3/4 seasons! no imagin what it will look like after 4 or 5 seasons. it will be the size of the whole article itself of maybe even longer! CERTAIN CHARACTERS ARE CREATED JUST FOR ONE EPISODE, JUST ONE OR TWO SITUATIONS, THEN WE'LL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! THOSE CHARACTERS EITHER NEED THEIR OWN SECTION (NOT MINOR CHARACTERS SECTION), OR SHOULD JUST BE OFF THIS PAGE! --Jak 02:31, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Peer Review
This article is currently on Peer Review, and I'll be making some minor edits throughout, to try and improve the overall quality. To start, I've removed "The sitcom is the highest rated show on the Disney Channel. As of December 2005, the show was rated #336 on the Nielsen TV Ratings Best Shows of 2005.", we need to find the source of this statement, and cite it as such. I've also renamed the places section to "Setting", as it's a more general name. If anyone has any comments for the PR, please feel free to post them there :) --lightdarkness (talk) 14:02, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- This article is over-Wiki-linked, IMO. Many sections are a sea of blue, and an effort should be made to remove redundant Wiki-links (like Tipton Hotel, Boston, or actor/actress names). Sometimes it makes sense to allow redundant links, but as a general rule of thumb, I think we should say that a Wikilink should only exist once per section.Debuskjt 15:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed a bunch of redundant links, though a lot still exist between sections. Debuskjt 18:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Article titles
The titles of this article and related articles need some changes; the only reason I haven't done it is because it would be painful—there would be so many moves to make and links to change. But this article should really be called "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody". Also the characters: Maddie's article should be under "Maddie Fitzpatrick" (or "Maddie (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody)"), not "Madeline Fitzpatrick"—titles are supposed to be done according to the common usage. It's the same with Moseby's article, should be at "Mr. Moseby". Everyking 08:18, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- I agree. I say leave this here over the weekend and then if no objections are raised you migrate them, redirect "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" here, and slowly tackle all the article references as a group based on what Whatlinkshere? Does that sound agreeable? - Debuskjt 02:06, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Though I should add that I disagree on "Mr. Moseby." It should not be moved, per WP:NCP, which states "try to avoid punctuation marks in article names as much as possible" and "if a qualifier is used in the title of a page..." (in this case, "Mr.") "...where the content is, it is never abbreviated." So Mr. Moseby would have to be Mister Moseby, and that should be avoided per "'King', 'Queen', 'Blessed', 'Mother', 'Father', 'Doctor', 'Mister', or any other type of qualifier is generally avoided as first word for a page name of a page on a single person, unless for disambiguation or redirect purposes." It also gives the example of Dr. Livingstone. Even though "Dr. Livingstone" would be the common usage, the article is at David Livingstone because of policy. - Debuskjt 02:14, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, I used to be an admin, so I could have moved these pages to better titles (it requires moving over redirects), but having been deprived of the tools recently we will have to find someone else to do it. Is any admin reading this page? Everyking 06:35, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Main character descriptions
It seems kind of odd to me that most of this article is devoted to long descriptions of characters that already have their own Wiki articles. It's a lot of duplicated effort, and is kind of odd (see Veronica Mars, where character's with Wiki articles have very short, one-to-two sentence descriptions). I think the descriptions should be taken way down in length to reduce the size of this article and encourage development of larger articles devoted to those characters that can hold a lot more information. Large amounts of good information are great, but they should be in the proper place. And though everyone who watches this articles knows that I love WP:BOLD, I didn't want to undertake such a drastic change in the article without discussing here first. Anyone else have any thoughts about it? - Debuskjt 00:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- And just as an aside, the other option is moving the character list for the series into its own page so we can have longer descriptions of everyone else, too, but I don't think that's really necessary (or desirable) until there's more information about merchandising, distribution, DVD releases, music tie-ins, etc. etc. to add into this article. - Debuskjt 00:39, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

- No she wasn't visiting her grandmother in Antartica! Ashley Tisdale missed 11 episodes of season 2 as she was filming and publicising High School Musical 2. She will be more involved in season 3 which will be the last season before the spin-off featuring the twins and London begins in 2010. From what I hear a televison movie is in the pipe-line too.Mc8755 (talk) 20:42, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Ummmm, Ashlet Tisdale didn't miss 11 episodes in season 2, she missed them in season 3 due to HSM 2. Disney Channel HAS CONFIRMED that The Suite Life will be ending this year, and the spin-off Suite Life On Deck, will air in late 2008 or 2009. Probably because Ashley wants to be a pop star and Kim is pregnant.
Disputable statement
I saw this in the trivia section on the main article:
- In the episode "Free Tippy", the Tipton's policy of retiring employees at age 65 is a reference to Disney's one-time policy of cancelling shows after the 65th episode.
A similar statement on the Hannah Montana page was just deleted. Should I do likewise? WAVY 10 15:22, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes. 65 is when most people retire in the real world. It is either a coincidence that Disney has the same number or they just used it because their shows are in a sense retiring like the people. Snoborder93 04:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Since when is 65 when most people retire? Everyone is different, especially in the time period, many people continue to work when they get old. And how the heck does this fit into Hannah Montana? --04:51, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's been that way for a while. I mean, sure you can retire before and after youre 65, but that is the average age people choose to retire. It's a milestone age, just like 18, 21, etc.Snoborder93 17:10, 2 August 2007 (UTC) She Is Coming Back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bratzkid20 (talk • contribs) 15:32, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the show is coming off air. They cast shot their last episode at the end of 2007.They have already ripped out all of the set. So all the very few new episodes left have already been shot.
Their probably shutting down because Ashley has a tight schedule doing a movie in late 2007 and then High School Musical 3. Brenda also has a tight schedule because she is starring in a new show which for now the name is Lucky Brenda. Also, it could be because of the episode limit on Disney Channel but probably not because Thats So Raven and Kim Possible have passed the 65 limit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.2.173.106 (talk) 02:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Okay let me clear this up. ' Arwin ' did not make it past the pilot, it is cancelled. Suite Life on Deck is in production right now and has been confirmed on air by DC. also, Brenda, Cole Dylan, and Phil will star in it. Ashley won't because she wants to 'grow up' and Kim probably isn't on full time because she is pregant and will want to be mom. Good Choice I think. She will probably make guest appearances. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.144.24 (talk) 23:28, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

Criticism from Dan Savage
I recently added this to the article:
- Dan Savage, the sex columnist, devoted a segment of an appearance on This American Life of March 16 2007 to describing the show and his concerns that it provides such a distorted image of love that he won't let his son watch it. Reference: This American Life Episode No. 328
It was deleted because the page I provided does not mention the show by name, but is the page of a radio show which includes a broadcast which can be downloaded which provides Savage's criticism of the show (in "Act Four: My Other Dog's a German Shepherd"). I had attempted to find a freely accessible reliable source which mentioned the show by name, but all I could find were blogs. I have since found this, though: "Ira Glass Goes Electric," from a Chicago paper which mentions it by name in passing (in the sixth paragraph, which starts "February's live..."). It doesn't explain the reasons for the criticism, though, so it can't be a substitute for the primary source.
I believe this content should be included because Dan Savage is a noted columnist, and the area of relationships (which was his reason for criticizing the show) is what his columns are about. It also offers the perspective of an adult, which does not appear elsewhere on the page (the only other reception mentioned on the page is awards, which includes a kid's choice award). Actually, the page in general should have some sort of response section, since it seems to be quite popular and there is probably more to say about it from various perspectives (ratings, international viewership, etc.). Some people dislike "criticism" sections as splitting out such content, and I would be happy to include this in a response section in general (which would include positive points as well). - It should be added if you can find a way to attach a verifiable reference to the information. I suggest that you include the url for the audio itself, if possible, and use timestamps to mark where the relevant audio portion is located. Include a cite quote if you think it would help. I don't think there is a cite template for this type of web site so you might have to role your own. --NrDg 18:21, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Merge suggestion
It has been suggested that the articles on the individual characters of the series are merged into this one as they would not comply to the fiction notability guideline WP:FICT. Any thoughts? --Van helsing 09:00, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- If it (referring to the London Tipton article) isn't merged and pruned substantially, I will probably stub it in place, since no sources have revealed themselves in the months that the tag has been at the top requesting reliable sources. It is doubtful such sources exist, certainly not enough to yield an article of this length. Quatloo 09:48, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Great idea; merge them all. Tagged for months? Obviously reliable third-party sources establishing notability are not forthcoming. --Jack Merridew 13:31, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Against. I don't think this is a good idea, because it is a lot of information on all of the character's pages for it to be on one page. But instead of merging it here you could make a new page for main characters like Cory in the House's: List of characters in Cory in the House. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nationalboard (talk • contribs) 16:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- They probably meant merge them into a separate character page. WAVY 10 18:20, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is those character pages have no sources and no sources exist for that material. So those long character pages have to be pruned down to stubs, and then we will merge those stubs into the main article. Without reliable sources, you will have no article anyway. Quatloo 23:13, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- The sources are the tv episodes themselves, just with any other fictional character that has a WP article. Your never going to find RS that talk about fictional characters. At least not enough to cite everything in an article like the ones in mention. Not sure how to prove any of the info besides watching the episodes yourself. But I am against merging them. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 00:00, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Episodes of a TV sitcom cannot be used as sources for Wikipedia articles. Please read WP:RS. If that is the only source (and likely, in almost all of the cases here, there are no other sources), all of the material has to go. Quatloo 13:29, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- There is sooooooo much info on each character on their page, it wouldn't all fit onto the Suite Life page!!! - Ferdinand (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.121.49.235 (talk)
- I agree with the dude above..
Ferdinand? We have quite a lot. It would not fit on the main page. You can't have sources for TV shows, because you could say on some fan site that the Suite Life was going to be canceled, and someone else could go 'Oh, a source!' and put it on Suite Life page. Most sources are wrong with TV shows. If it was a book, THEN we could have sources, I suppose.
- Megan :) 00:09, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have redirected the various character articles. Please note that this is not a vote. Larger community consensus about fiction articles (WP:FICT, WP:WAF), which requires an assertion of real-world notability and the use of reliable sources, trumps any individual discussion. Interested editors are welcome to restore the articles in the event that they have content that satisfies the content guidelines mentioned above. Eusebeus 14:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure those who wanted to keep the articles (myself included) have to admit that it is very difficult to find sources that satisfy WP:RS for these...or most TV characters.
I'd have considered creating a List of Main Characters from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody or moving the recurring characters article into a general character article and moving the information to that page, then redirecting to the correct page. WAVY 10 17:57, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

- She wasn't REALLY in Antarctica, they just used that as a cover-up. In the show, Ashley is Maddie, not Sharpay, so in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they had to use something to cover it up, obviousily. There is no reason that this should be changed because it is the truth; there is nothing wrong with it.
Yes, but, wasn't she in camp heaven on earth, why would she be in antartica even in the show?? 4.68.248.214 02:07, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Maddie was in Camp Heaven on Earth during the Summer portion of the show, she was spending a semester in Antartica probably because writers ran out of summer shows and decided to go to the school year, enter Maddie in Antartica. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.114.144.24 (talk) 23:32, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Suite Life on Deck
I was reading this article about the 2007 writers strike and it mentions all the writers who have not continued writing. It mentions Danny Kallis as the writer of "Suite Life on Deck" (it's in the third column, 17th from the top). I assume this is the spin-off series, which gives us evidence that it is in fact in production but the writing has been halted. 24.6.138.127 (talk) 19:07, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- This is not an article, it is an ad. It is a list of show runners. All it does is mention the name Danny Kallis and Suite Life on Deck. That is all. It is reading too much into that to count as evidence of anything. They could be doing a pilot on spec, we don't know what is going on and anything we say is pure speculation. --NrDg 19:14, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the Goofs section because the information seemed to serve very little purpose. If someone feels it necessary to readd it it'd be better if it were in the List of the show's episodes rather than on the main article. - Throw (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Suggestions
I have a few suggestions to improve the article was wondering what everyone thought;
- Move DVD info over to the page about for the episodes. It would shorten this page a bit and make more sense to have it on the page with the episodes. OR combine it to the page about the books and make a generic page about all media related to TSL. Would cut down on the amount of pages, we could combine DVD, books and games all into a single organized page.
- Trim the settings section. We don't really need every single place that the series took place. The only ones we really need to list are the places that have occurred in more than a single episode.
- Trim the table of minor characters. Every single character doesn't need to be listed, it just takes up space. We only really need to list characters who have appeared in more than one episode.
What do you guys think? --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:24, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- List of episodes should stay as just a list of episodes. I suggest just leaving the organization as is for now with respect to the DVDs, books and games. The two trims look to be OK to me but might be contentious with others. --NrDg 01:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Just to give you an idea of what I meant by a list of media, check out Charmed multimedia. If we did something like that for TSL, we'd save space on the main article, and cut down on the amount of stub articles. And the reason I suggested the trim, was that currently the info on characters and setting borders on fansite material. Would be nice if the setting section had some info on the set too, but I don't really know where we could get information on that for a DCOS. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 01:42, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like a good idea as per the Charmed example. The trim is fine, the more the better in my opinion and I agree with your reasons. --NrDg 02:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- I got bored and created an example of what the multimedia page would look like at User:Malevious/sandbox. If we used that it would cut down on the amount of info on the main page and get rid of 4 really small stub articles. I had to remove the picture though, because if we create the page we'd have to remove them anyway as they'd be considered "decorative" just like all the other pages had to remove the images of their DVDs. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 18:31, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

4) Is Suite Deck going to be real or not or what?

Fair use rationale for Image:Tipton.jpg
Image:Tipton.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Recurring characters
Brittany Curran keeps getting added but this really isn't appropriate. She has been in a total of 3 episodes out of 88. Yes, technically she is a recurring character because she has been in the series more than once but that's not how we choose a recurring character for this list. There are 24 unlisted actors who have been in more episodes than her and another 7 who have also been in 3 episodes. Theoretically we should include all of them but it's a matter of practicality that we don't include them all in the list in this article. The list concentrates on the main recurring characters and she doesn't fit that description so she shouldn't be included. --AussieLegend (talk) 19:37, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Merge proposal
The nominator hasn't indicated why the articles should be merged. This article, London Tipton and List of recurring characters in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody are all sufficiently long enough to justify separate articles so I have to oppose this proposal. Merging them would just create one long (~84KB), unwieldy article. I'm puzzled as to why the nominator has also proposed merging London Tipton here but not Cody Martin, Zack Martin, Maddie Fitzpatrick, Mr. Moseby or Carey Martin. This aside, London Tipton is a character of two programs, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, so the character article should be independent of both. This is another reason why I oppose that merge. --AussieLegend (talk) 06:14, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think the articles should be merged because they're unsourced articles about fictional characters. And as to why I didn't nominated the other articles you suggested, it's because I haven't seen them. THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 07:17, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- Everything in these articles is verifiable, even if what is there currently is unsourced. It's all in the episodes. As I pointed out just merging the two articles you mentioned would blow this article out to 84KB. Adding the others, which really should be done if your're going to merge any, would blow the article size way out. How would you propose to get around that? The normal way is to split out several articles, which has already been done. And, of course, there is the issue of London Tipton, who is a character in more than TV series. Why should her article,or the articles of any of the other characters who are in both, be here and not separate? It's not appropriate to include character information that is only relevant to SLOD in this article. However, information relevant to this article is relevant to SLOD. The least messy way of managing the character bios is to have them in a separate article. --AussieLegend (talk) 08:37, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think you quite understand what verifiability is. (And while you're at it, read WP:RS.) THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 16:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm certain he understands quite well the basic principals of wiki. Broadcast episodes are primary sources WP:PSTS and are reliable sources for what is contained within - this is not an issue in dispute. They are also verifiable as anyone can view the episode when rebroadcast - verifiability just means possible, not easy. The problem with episode and character pages is the general lack independent notability as exhibited by lack of mention of the subject in secondary sources and no real-world, outside the fictional world, commentary. They are generally not notable in their own right - they derive their notability from the base page. This whole issue of derived notability is contentious and there is no general consensus of how to handle auxiliary pages whose sole notability is derived from the primary notable page. Absent consensus to merge on this particular case, leave it be. This whole issue causes too much wikidrama as it is. --NrDg 18:26, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think you quite understand what verifiability is. (And while you're at it, read WP:RS.) THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 16:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- To add - I don't have a strong preference either way on this issue though I do lean towards merge due to lack of outside the fictional universe secondary source commentary. The particular issue with characters common to two TV series is not a real issue. Character pages for each series would just describe the character using solely the context of each series as if the other series did not exist. --NrDg 18:40, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- The problem with the character articles is that they do not contain real world information, which is required under WP:MOSFICT. Cheers! Scapler (talk) 19:13, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
