Personal opinions

edit

Isn't the statement "... give the novel a rich and enduring character and make it worth more than a few hours’ entertainment", based on a personal opinion rather than an objective presentation? 193.217.195.113 10:29, 5 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:The Taking.jpg

edit

Image:The Taking.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Question

edit

Isn't it 'seen' that there is more then one dog capable of sensing endangered children? Noteable if true. Lots42 (talk) 06:06, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I just read the book recently; several other dogs were helping other adults resue children, and I believe there was mention of two other rescue parties being led by a cat and a parrot.--Shroopliss (talk) 04:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

So why were they tainting the rain when they didn't plan to terraform the planet (she implies that they may have been responsible for The Flood though it wasn't a flood and so i assume this was the rapture as she says the people abducted by the spaceships had different reactions which may indicate their different destination ie heaven and hell)? Why did they recite T.S Elliot? Why did they bring their animals from their homeworld? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.10.203.240 (talk) 15:54, 31 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The rain did not smell like bleach.

The rain smelled like semen and it made Molly nauseous to watch children playing in it on television. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.189.91.249 (talk) 20:59, 1 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
