60? countries

edit

The opening line says somewhere around 60 were affected by this "3rd wave of democratization" but which countries were these? Listing the countries would greatly help this article. I would do it myself but I do not own the book. Naufana : talk 22:14, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

MERGE in to Samuel Huntington?

edit

I think this page should be merged into Samuel Huntington. --Dylanfly 22:43, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

It looks like my opinion doesn't really matter, since the merge suggestion hasn't gone anywhere, but I'm against it. The concept of Third Wave of Democratization is not limited to Huntington or his book. See, for example, Samuel S. Kim's 2004 book The International Relations of Northeast Asia. Cleanup

edit

I added the Cleanup-Book tag due to the insufficient context in the "Consolidation" and "Criticism" sections provide. The phrases and sentence fragments need to be improved upon. Barkeep Chat | $ 16:29, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mixing of the book and the article in the referencing

edit

The page is mostly about Huntington's book. I have not read the book myself, I have read the article however and a lot of what is referenced here with as being in the article, simply is not. As an example: no-where in the article is the two-turnover model even mentioned.

I think the whole section needs a thorough check by someone who has read the book, as well as a restructuring of the reference section to include the book and link the right sections/claims to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lil Blue Spider (talkcontribs) 01:42, 7 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
