First light rail in VA
editThis section was changed to say it's the second light rail (after Arlington), but that is incorrect. The only rail in Arlington (along with Alexandria, Fairfax, etc) is the DC Metro system, which is heavy rail rapid transit system, not light rail. There is a distinct difference. I've changed it back to say The Tide is the only light rail in the state. GoUrban (talk) 01:45, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
Discussion on Randy Wright
editThe section says "Wright blamed "the Tide" for his defeat, stating "The cost overruns were the difference... I didn't know about the overruns and couldn't have, but people just didn't believe that."" This is incorrect. The quote leaves out Mr. Wright saying the light rail was going to be his legacy. Mr. Wright's district is on the opposite side of the city from the light rail line. Arguably, his constituents were more concerned with the fact that the City fought them in court over the "Bay Oaks Park" issue. Wright's constituents were upset that the city fought them in court over the need for a park versus the need to tear down century-old trees for development land when plenty of vacant lots already existed. I have removed the problem sentence. (Norfolk87 (talk) 05:46, 30 January 2012 (UTC))
Virginia Beach
editRecent decisions have not been added to this section. At least three references have been added that till assist with improving this section. More background could be added rather than just "On this date, something happened" as the current additions have been worded. Fettlemap (talk) 16:57, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
