Is this an error?

"The newspaper was relaunched as Toowoomba's Mail in September 2003."

That is a separate publication from The Chronicle http://www.thechronicle.com.au/aboutus/

Perhaps it is badly worded, thus wrong 27.33.21.56 (talk) 08:56, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

The URL above says "The Chronicle and Downs Star interests merged on October 1, 1970 under a new company Toowoomba Newspapers Pty Ltd. The Downs Star continued as a daily until July 14, 1971, when it became a weekly. The newspaper was relaunched as Toowoomba's Mail in September 2003." which I take to mean that the Downs Star was relaunched as Toowoomba's Mail and not that the Toowoomba Chronicle was relaunched. If that's your interpretation too, let's fix that. Kerry (talk) 22:53, 3 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

So much unnecessary and obvious stuff

edit

Do we really need to know about the app? The information about the archives could be cut by half. It would be good if the editors who have contributed to this were to think about cutting down the excess verbiage. Remember when you used to be asked to write a precis? Notable breaking stories

edit

This story broke in national papers, [e.g., https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9376423/Meredith-Rawlings-sued-1million-Brisbane-Supreme-Court-former-student-Nicholas-Brockhurst.html Daily Mail, 2021-03-19]. It is hardly surprising that the story was covered by the local newspaper. MargaretRDonald (talk) 22:22, 16 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
