- The page linked by the bot shows ratings for 2012, and The Tunnel is not listed on the page. So a source is still needed for the comments on ratings or viewership in the UK. --Prairieplant (talk) 03:40, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
In re: GA review
editIt is indeed en route to being a good article. But, until someone: (1) Checks all lede sentences against the main body, to ensure the lede summarises the main body, and presents no original, unsourced material; (2) Reduces lede length by a third or so, so that it is commensurate with an article of its current length, for it appears now to be much more than a concise summary; (3) Checks citations appearing against content, to make sure that material is actually properly sourced, and not only apparently so; and (4) Ensures that all content, including cast listing, is sourced, in some fashion, then it is not yet GA. MBTA ("much better than average"), yes. GA, no, only by faith/assumed quality, and not by checked quality.
As for that, the spot checking I did—looking at selective parts and sentences, and finding mis-used and missing sources—says that the foregoing work needs to be done. Le Prof 73.211.138.148 (talk) 08:00, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
third season of The Tunnel
edit- www.datereliz.com/serials/tunnel-season-3-release-date.html
- "The Tunnel season 3 release date is planned by Sky Atlantic for the spring of 2017. The date release of The Tunnel season 3 on DVD and Bluray will probably happen in summer of 2017."
Will there be a third season of The Tunnel? This source says so, but is it credible? Seems more like speculation than solid... Please add any well-sourced related info to the article. -71.174.180.38 (talk) 22:29, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
Second Season Notes to Consider Including
editIn episode 2x06, Elise receives a package from Eryka Klein, the "person of interest" who didn’t get on the plane that crashed into the Channel. It's a book, "Deux Pour Une" (two for one) a French version of "Das doppelte Lottchen" ("The double Lottie", English version: "Lottie and Lisa") by German author Erich Kästner, 1949. What could be the meaning of this rather personal present? Is it about Elise's lost twin or that Eryka could be a sort of very intimate double? Or both? Lack of sufficient information about Canal+
editThis is a British-French co-production. It's a 50/50 shared production budget.
The only information about involvement by Canal+/France is about the series being a joint project, being also filmed in France, the 2013 world premiere in France, the series premiere date on Canal+, the first episode, and the viewership for Series 1 in France. There is no content about Series 2 on Canal+. There are also no French air dates for Series 2. Series 3 has begun production and there's no mention about the final season in relation to Canal+.
Additionally, everything about reception by critics is entirely from British media. The article not only needs updating but more balanced information and sources. Pyxis Solitary talk 03:35, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

Awards and nominations
editPer MOS:TV, I added the section and five organizations that nominated/awarded the series. If anyone is aware of any other nomination/win and is not comfortable with adding the table, I can do it for you if you want the help. Let me know on my talk page. Pyxis Solitary talk 02:25, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
Order of cast names
editPer MOS:TV > Cast and characters information: I changed the order of how some names were listed according to the original broadcast credits of Series 1/episode 1 and Series 2/episode 1. I removed the *Recurring* subsections and made it into one section with the individual Series for each cast member following the name on the list. I also added a few names. – The titles of these two TV series are either ambiguous, in which case move the former to The Tunnel (British-French TV series) (or something else), or they are not, in which case Tunnel (TV series) should be fine for the latter. I'm ambivalent on this so putting it to the masses. PC78 (talk) 16:46, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Comment. In my opinion, nothing change about Tunnel (South Korean TV series), because the official Korean-language title "터널" is just written as "Tunnel" in English. If the official title is "더 터널" which is written as "The Tunnel" in English, so in that case you can change the title like "The Tunnel (South Korean TV series)" as your opinion above. Kenny htv (talk) 18:00, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- The Korean series is just "Tunnel" on Netflix. PC78 (talk) 18:23, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- I think that you don't really understand my comment. When you mentioned the South Korean TV series here, it means you want to change it title, but I think you can't in this case. Because, if the title is just "Tunnel", it's impossible because a TV series is not a tunnel, so we need to add "(TV series)" right behind to distinguish with "Tunnel". But there was already an other TV series with almost the same name (this page title), so we need to add more the country of origin to distinguish. That's why we have "Tunnel (South Korean TV series)". You can't also change it into "The Tunnel (South Korean TV series)" because of the official TV series title. If your request is only to change this page title from "The Tunnel (TV series)" to "The Tunnel (British-French TV series)" (or something else), you need to focus on it instead of mention the South Korean TV series here. Kenny htv (talk) 19:18, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- I think you misunderstand the request: I propose moving one article or the other, not both. The discussion is to determine which one should be moved. PC78 (talk) 19:26, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- And my comment from the beginning is no acceptable reason for moving "Tunnel (South Korean TV series)" into another title. The problem is only about "The Tunnel (TV series)". I don't really know why you mentioned the South Korean TV series in this request, because it have already a good title with more clear disambiguation than this page. As your request, if no one want to change this page title, it means Tunnel (South Korean TV series) "should be moved"? Or something else? Kenny htv (talk) 19:43, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- OK, I understand. You think move the first article and leave the Korean one where it is? I didn't quite catch your meaning before. PC78 (talk) 20:21, 4 November 2019 (UTC)

- Leave the first, move the second to Tunnel (TV series), and use a hatnote, as per WP:SMALLDETAILS. That's a much better solution IMO. To be clear, The Tunnel (British-French TV series) is a non-starter under current WP:NCTV, so the only viable alternate proposal would be "by year" disambiguation – The Tunnel (2013 TV series) and Tunnel (2017 TV series) – but I don't think that is necessary in this case. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 13:47, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
Oppose. Fine as they are. Note that moving the second to Tunnel (TV series) is not appropriate, as this is also the French title of The Tunnel.Move Tunnel (South Korean TV series) to Tunnel (TV series) (with hatnote to point to the other one as French title). Keep the other as it is. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:50, 6 November 2019 (UTC)- Then PC78 is right – you can't have one of these be a "primary subtopic" (WP:INCDAB), so The Tunnel (TV series) would need to be moved. Again, in that situation, the only viable option is to move both to "by year" disambiguation. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:23, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- How would that be, given The Tunnel is the only TV series by that exact name? The others don't have a definite article and would not be referred to using a definite article. However, the South Korean series should stay as it is given the existence of the alternative name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:46, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Because, if you're saying "Tunnel" is ambiguous with "The Tunnel", then the reverse also has to be true. IOW, if "Tunnel (TV series)" has to be disambiguated from "The Tunnel (TV series)", then they both need to be disambiguated from each other... This is actually why I'm not changing my vote – I think "Tunnel (TV series)" and "The Tunnel (TV series)" are both fine, and any lingering confusion can be adequately handled by hatnotes. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:20, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- I'm not. The Tunnel (TV series) isn't ambiguous with anything. Tunnel (TV series) is ambiguous, however. But you're right that the latter could probably be handled by a hatnote, so yes, I'm fine for Tunnel (South Korean TV series) to be moved to Tunnel (TV series). -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:16, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
