Character list
editUser Drew270 continues to try to update the list of Characters by adding in Robert Wightman as a separate line, despite the fact that the actor is already listed (properly in my opinion) along with Richard Thomas under the listing for John Boy. However this is listed, he needs to be listed only once and not twice. Since the list is a list of characters and not a list of actors, I feel that listing both actors in a single entry makes the most sense. Thoughts?Rcarter555 (talk) 00:03, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
@Rcarter,Well i need to see characters and actors, guess so would others as it looks haphazard than being in a column of actors then just puutting in ,sorry but thats how i feel,i feel that both listings in slightly different areas is correct,no point in arueing as admin says he was going ban us both,so we are both right but wrong!
The characters and actors ARE there. I simply fail to understand how you can view listing an actor twice in the same section as the appropriate response. However, no one has been banned, they have just protected the page for two days for us to sort this out. Let’s see if anyone else has anything to say on this talk page. If not, as per the admins, the page must remain as it currently is. Rcarter555 (talk) 06:31, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
As I recall, Wightman's name never appeared in the opening credits, but rather at the closing along with the supporting players and guest stars. However, listing two actors in the same role, both main and supporting, would be confusing, so I'd say that the current listing is the most sensible. WHPratt (talk) 12:16, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
Start Date of Setting
editThe series setting begins in 1933, confirmed when a report of the Long Beach Earthquake of March 1933 is heard on the radio. SimpsonDG (talk) 18:03, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
Animated spin-off?
editI vaguely recall seeing an animated series in the 1970's based on The Waltons or something similar. Was there such a spin off? 16:15, 20 December 2022 (UTC) Nutster (talk) 16:15, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
