This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is intended to clarify the reason behind and history of an event which is publicly visible. I am working on a history section. I think the introduction is an objective description of why the event exists; please tell me if you think otherwise. I can remove the details for the 2012 event if this violates Wikipedia's rules or would otherwise help clarify things.
