The Wizard of Oz

I added the mention of The Wizard of Oz being the source of the name, even though I have no source. If anyone objects, please let me know and I'll remove it.

Discontinued?

Larson

The quote from Gary Larson comes from his book "The Prehistory of the Far Side", and was in relation to the complaints he got from the more "black humored" of his own cartoons. Another thing about Blanche (& The Wizard): With the change in authorship the two now seem to genuinely love each other and have shared some sweet moments over the past few years. Obvious allusions to American Society

Does it not bear mention - or is it simply too obvious - that the allusions to "perpetual war" with the "Huns", and a large "peasantry", are thinly-veiled references to modern American society, where war is indeed perpetually waged as a means of subjugating the people, and the great majority are, in actuality, quite poor by the standards of other "Western" nations?

Ethics of Attribution

Is it honest or ethical to continue to attribute the column in print to Brant Parker and Johnny Hart many years after their deaths?

The Lone Haranguer

https://www.gocomics.com/wizard-of-id-classics/2016/08/07 indicates that the Lone Haranguer has been identified(by him stealing a horse then riding off taunting the King after being released on account of being a Native Indian) yet still escaped.
