Expansion

edit

This article is remarkably skimpy for a significant band. I'm working on expanding it. Note citations needed. Main thing I need now is a better selection of contemporary references (press clippings, press releases), not just official or fan redigestions - David Gerard (talk) 12:53, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Expanded. A pleasant quiet Saturday afternoon :-) The one thing I need (which is commented out in the article text) is a citation that the band considers the US and UK versions of Queer to be albums you should listen to both of. I'm sure I read something like that yesterday or the day before, but can't find it now. Also, more "A Girl Like You" chart placings - it was thrashed on JJJ in Australia, that must have shifted a unit or two - David Gerard (talk) 15:02, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Name conjecture

edit

Just placed by an IP and removed for no citation:

The Wolfgang Press are named after the 'OK' Nazi portrayed by German actor Wolfgang Preiss in a sucession of World War II movies such as Von Ryan's Express, Raid on Rommel and The Boys from Brazil.
