editI suspect the band name had more to do with a 60s and 70s childrens TV program than a slang expression for a guitar.
The acoustic guitar reference clinched it. There were a few reasons The puppet like dance of a few members, the unifying factor of 60’s children who would remember it, what we were given. Also an anti name. Cheezywalrus (talk) 14:38, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
