Fair use rationale for Image:TheZutons-TiredOfHangingAround.jpg

edit

Image:TheZutons-TiredOfHangingAround.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

edit

This article may be enhanced by one of my images located at Oxegen 2008. I notice is does not yet possess one of its own but mine is of reasonable quality. --➨♀♂Candlewicke ST # :) 11:53, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Split?

edit

Have they split up? They've been inactive as a band since 2009, and all I know is Dave's been involved in another band or two and Russell's in Noel Gallagher's band. Andrew07 (talk) 16:59, 28 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

The link to the Official Website simply comes up with "Account Suspended" RGCorris (talk) 10:19, 23 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The "official website" link now takes you directly the band's MySpace page. 2601:4:2D80:2E4:4F3:F59A:BDA5:E813 (talk) 14:55, 24 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Viola Beach tribute.

edit

Both the Manchester Evening News and the NME mention that the band performed at the tribute in Warrington. Has this been misreported? Karst (talk) 11:47, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I went to this gig, 2nd April 2016 at Parr Hall. Dave, Abi & Boyan performed Zuton tracks. SG73 (talk) 12:10, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. According to the sources, the band performed as The Zutons. Are there any sources that provide a different take on this? Karst (talk) 12:18, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
This is the official Parr Hall website: https://www.pyramidparrhall.com/blog/2016/03/02/viola-beach-a-celebration/ Liam Fray was announced and performed as a solo, then the rest of his band played, so in effect Courteeners played. None of the Zutons was even announced. They turned up and just performed with Hidden Charms. [1]SG73 (talk) 12:26, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
That was the NME reference I used, the line is: "The Zutons made a rare live appearance alongside Hidden Charms." Then the Liverpool Echo has a picture with the caption "Dave McCabe, lead singer of Liverpool band The Zutons, performs at The Parr Hall in Warrington for an emotional tribute concert".[2] Going by the sources this is the band performing, there is no mention of the trio appearing in a different capacity. Are their any reviews of the tribute? They would shed some more detailed light on the issue. Karst (talk) 12:56, 30 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
