This professional wrestling article is a frequent target for editors to add a week-by-week synopsis of storyline events, unconfirmed information, rumors, and other content inappropriate to an encyclopedic article. Real Backstage Influence?
editTheodore Long have a real participation in the Show or only is a fake? --201.214.197.176 18:25, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
No, he doesn't. None of the "General Managers" do. They're just authority characters that are used to push storylines and announce matches etc. 121.219.1.250 (talk) 13:36, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Questionable paragraph
edit"Due to Theodore Long's one sided opinions and his support for all (and only) babyfaces (and his annoying character and behavior), most RAW and ECW fans do not watch SmackDown! as most of these fans often also support heel superstars (for example-Triple H, Sandman, Stone Cold Steve Austin, etc)."
Oh, really? Does the person who wrote this paragraph have any evidence to support this claim, or is this a point-of-view statement? I, for one, happen to like Theodore Long, first of all... and if there are reasons why RAW fans don't watch SmackDown, I'd blame Mark Henry and The Great Khali before I'd start pointing fingers at Theodore Long. ekedolphin 05:45, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
I edited out the sentences about the MITB winner being able to challenge either the Raw or Smackdown champion and the sentence about Kane. These sentences have to do with the MITB and Smackdown in general, not Long. Mr. Papaya 13:29, 13

Booker T "feud"
editI'm inclined to edit the issues with Booker T even further, to take it away from a week-by-week sort of synopsis of the situation. Does anyone have any problems with that? --Dave. 21:28, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Nobody's said anything, so I've done it. --Dave. 12:33, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Quotes
editAre these quotes really necessary? They don't seem to be anything special or profound, they just emphasize his frequent use of holla and playa, which could easily be noted elsewhere. DrWarpMind 17:39, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree he doesn't use all these quotes. BIGCANDICEFAN 20:05, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, it is against the WP:PW style guides to even include quotes on pages for wrestlers. However, if someone wants to, they can always create a WikiQuote for Long and add quotes to their heart's content. Nikki311 06:03, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Middle Name
editIf his middle name is Rufus, why did it say Robert on the wedding invite 80.229.169.189 11:04, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think you meant that the other way around. Anyway, apparently both make up his middle name now. Until I saw this article, I always thought the R. stood for Roosevelt, though… 63.215.27.134 21:07, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

- Just to warn you, tech, i was browsing the web, and it looks like we have a storyline leak just to warn you. I found it on yahoo answers, but i think it may be a sign of something to come. Any other people in here keeping an eye on things watch out for it too. If you want the quote posted, let me know. AnthonyWalters 03:54, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

No. What we have is fine. But, you do make a good point. Tech43 23:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Entrance video
editThis might sound stupid, but still, is he still the SmackDown gm? His entrance vid shows parts of his old one w/ parts of last one, but DOES NOT show him being GM in any of that. Should that be put in this page? Wweisreal (talk) 20:55, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
If you watch it tonight, it will show you that he is the Assistant GM. 69.61.249.60 (talk) 23:35, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Raw GM
editIs Teddy Long the new GM of Raw? If you watched Raw lastnight that's what it looked like.--$$$Keeton D$$$ 20:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Probably, but at this point it's still speculation. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 20:56, 20 May 2008 (UTC).Nope hes not the new GM of Raw he was just talking to Vince possibly discussing if he should be the New GM of ECW.Brothers of destruction (talk) 13:12, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Another thing, the wording of this part here is a bit strange, and should be fixed. I won't do it, cause all mine get reverted, but yeah:
"Long returned on the November 30, 2007 edition of SmackDown! as the Assistant General Manager and made a match at Armageddon for the World Heavyweight Championship
In September 2007, Long was demoted from General Manager of SmackDown!, to Assistant General Manager to Vickie Guerrero. On May 16, 2008, Long quit his role of Assistant General Manager."
Makes it sound like he was demoted to Assistant GM in September, but the first line makes it sound as if he was only changed to the Assistant GM when he came back in November to make the Armageddon match. Which one was it?121.219.1.250 (talk) 13:34, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
First Line Error

New Talent Initiative
editAt the end of the third paragraph in the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment section, it mentions the people who Teddy Long brought to ECW in his New Superstar Initiative but it does not include DJ Gabriel or Tyson Kidd. They should be added.
Heel turn
editI think he must some kind turned heel when he restart the World Heavyweight Championship match at Breaking Point. We should mention about this. --60.51.6.49 (talk) 00:37, 18 September 2009 (UTC) He was not hurt when he was in the limo I agree, he should have turned heel, but that didn't go over too well, most fans seem to cheer for the dude, as it was i do think that a heel turn would have been fun, had the WWE done it properly instead of ripping off something from a decade ago —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.4.186.6 (talk) 12:56, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Theodore Long
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Theodore Long's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Stretcher Match
editIn the bit about match types he has (re)introduced it mentions a stretcher match between the two Hardy's, but the link itself takes you to the generic match types page, where I can't see the word 'stretcher' at all - should the link be removed, or does 'stretcher match' need adding to the match types page? Correction on Long Banned as Referee
editGreat article on Teddy Long as a referee, but i added something he wasn't suspended as referee after the April Clash of the Champions, he was suspended on the April 29, 1989 episode on WCW Saturday Night when he put a very fast count on The Junkyard Dog, giving the match to Ron Simmons.
