edit- "names referring to Hadad, a Canaanite deity, by the epiphet Baal"
'epiphet' is not in my dictionary. Is this a typo for epithet?
- "Where's Kal-El?"
- not yet. give some thinking time. FrummerThanThou 19:15, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- The meanings of "Ariel" and "Arael" are mixed up. At least according to behindthename.com. Ariel should mean lion of god and Arael should mean light of god.
How come everyone else seems to use theoPHONIC and not theophoric when describing these sorts of names? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.111.128 (talk) 23:00, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Hellas
editThis name is different, since the El is inside and not at the end. Furthermore whoever added it did so at the end of the list and not alphabetically. I have left it in for now. 75.157.27.217 (talk) 00:20, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

I do not think these belong here because they are names of gods (or aspects of the god El, depending on your interpretation), rather than names of people which incorporate the name El. Fitzburgh (talk) 22:13, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
They aren't theophory. In the same way that Penisland and Pen Island are distinct. Newman Luke (talk) 22:03, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
