Terminology
editTerminology is not debatable at all. Anything other than 'she' or 'her' is considered offensive, and the language used in the article borders upon that anyway. Morwen 17:23, 12 Nov 2003 (UTC)
- Agreed. I've removed the warning, and copyeditted the first paragraph. - UtherSRG 11:49, 26 May 2004 (UTC)
- I hope that my recent edit has improved the language somewhat? Dysprosia 12:01, 26 May 2004 (UTC)
I'm actually very sure that There's Something About Miriam WAS aired in Britain, by Sky One. I don't know if they will have cancelled it though. Trilliangoose 15:06, 7 September 2004 (UTC)
If the contestant "Miriam" refers to himself as a man ("But you see, Tom... I am not a woman. I was born as a man.") and has male genitals (the Guardian article indicates that he's intending to have an operation to remove his genitalia) it seems fine to refer to him using masculine pronouns. 78.148.58.172 (talk) 02:19, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Miriam and the Amazon Queen
editMiriam is featured in a poster and other merchandise promoting a book called SECRET OF THE AMAZON QUEEN (E A Guest) -- and she looks hot! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.20.164.120 (talk • contribs)
Surname
editI've seen her credited elsewhere as Miriam D'Abo (imdb for instance), and was wondering what her surname really is? What was her birth surname? I'm guessing it's Rivera and that D'Abo is just a stage name (well until she changes it legally anyway), but does anyone know for certain? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.134.209.219 (talk • contribs)
- Since IMDb is user submitted as well, it's not always accurate. It's not clear where this information got introduced, but I haven't been able to confirm it in any reliable published sources. Jokestress 17:44, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Undisclosed amount
editOn 20-1 on channel nine the amount was stated as 330000 pounds each —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.172.181.195 (talk) 12:10, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

First citation seems irrelevant to the text
editThe first citation is refering to the death of the titular character. However it is placed as a citation for text that describes the basic premise of the show.
Surely this is completely irrelevant?
If we want to discuss the death of Miriam Rivera there should be a section included on the page that focuses on that subject. Otherwise the citation should be removed 88.17.146.153 (talk) 00:18, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
