Will look at this one. —Ed!(talk) 18:28, 12 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

GA review (see here for criteria) (see here for this contributor's history of GA reviews)
  1. It is reasonably well written:
Pass Dup links, dab links, external links all show no problems. Copyvio tool shows green.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable:
    Not Yet
    • The statistics in the infobox need a citation.
    • Done. Added a citation for the geo coordinates. Everything else in the infobox was already cited elsewhere in the article, but I added a citation for the statistics for clarity.
  3. It is broad in its coverage:
    Not Yet
    • The statistics in the infobox should also be included as a graph in the lead, very needed context about the larger fire.
    • I've added more info about the fire to the lead (size, firefighting cost, end date, etc). Not sure what you meant by "graph," though.
    • "11 pm" -- References to time are typically preferred as numbers, in this case 11 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. (or 23:00) and local time PST in this case, should be noted.
    • I've added a time zone to the first mention of a time. Other than that, the time format is compliant with MOS:TIME and consistent as far as I can tell, could you clarify what you mean by using "numbers"? Switch "pm" to "p.m."?
    • "over one-third were rookies." -- What does this mean? As in, they had no experience at all, or just limited experience?
    • It means they were in their first year of firefighting with the Forest Service, this has been added.
    • Surprised the names of the four firefighters lost aren't here. They should be added, and maybe any basic details about them included as well, years of experience, home towns, anything that can be added.
    • Done.
    • "In a plea agreement, Daniels pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of lying to an investigator in exchange for dropping the other charges.[41] He was sentenced to three months of work release." -- When was the plea agreement and when was the sentencing? Any word on when he was released?
    • I have added more detail on this. Can't find any information on when he completed his work release, though.
    • Is there any relevant data on this overall fire season that could be added? And any info on if there were other fatalities during the season?
    • As far as I can tell, the overall fire season was a bad one, but not remarkably so. Since it wasn't that unusual of a fire season, there aren't really any sources I can find that talk about the overall season as a whole. There were other deaths that year, but looking at the list, the deaths seem to not be relevant here (they're mostly vehicle accidents, heart attacks, and aneurysms, all of which could happen during any season).
    • There should be some info on the memorial in the photo and when it was erected.
    • Done.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy:
    Pass No problems there.
  5. It is stable:
    Pass No problems there.
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate:
Pass Images cited to PD where appropriate.
  7. Other:
    On Hold Pending a few fixes and additions. —Ed!(talk) 18:46, 12 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the review, I'll get to work on addressing your concerns. It shouldn't take long. --Surachit (talk) 23:51, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the delay, but I think I've fixed most of the issues. If there's more to be done, let me know and I'll keep working on it. --Surachit (talk) 05:01, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think this is plenty. Based on your substantial additions to the article, going to Pass the GAN now. Good work on it! —Ed!(talk) 01:53, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
