Established in 1863
editEdison was established in 1963. My sister was in the 25th anniversary grad. class of 88.
Reads like an advert.
editI flagged this article for reading like an advert. The article highlights only the positive aspects of the school, and does not mention statistics regarding drug offenses (quite numerable), school violence, and other disciplinary offenses. Furthermore, the claim of where students go after graduating is unsubstantiated. Joshua 17:38, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Would you be willing to substantiate your claim that drug offenses are "quite numerable?" Can you provide documentation or a link to support this statement? Limited information on school violence statistics, as well as demographics, testing rates, etc., can be found on Edison's school profile page at http://www.fcps.edu/suptapps/schoolprofile/profile.cfm?profile_id=120 Phimu222 17:58, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Anyone who goes to this school
editIf anyone goes to this school, I have 2 questions: I have heard 2 rumors: Edison HS has a bomb shelter and Edison HS has an elevator to their scene storage loft in the theater. Can anyone confirm either of these? Thanks-KeepOnTruckin 00:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
No, Edison does not have a bomb shelter. If they do, they kept it a secret from us. And I think the elevator thing is a lie, but I wasn't involved in theater.
The only rumors about Edison you should believe are the drug ones.

Hahaha, Amanda, I love you. Anyway. Both rumors are just that: rumors. We have a genie in the theater department, but that hardly contitutes an elevator. Joshua 17:03, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Very interesting. I am on a quest to find all the schools with bomb shelters and freight elevators. I heard edison had both of those, but o well. KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 21:37, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Actually, a genie lift is technically a hydralic elevator/work platform. But, meh. KeepOnTruckin Complain to me | my work here 01:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:EdisonHS.jpg
editImage:EdisonHS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- If the image is or was used by the us, state, and/or country government and it isn’t sourced to an different place(stock photo and/or people) in the us it is assumed that it is for the purpose of copyright and fair use that is in the public domain as any think like photos and documents like congressional documents owned by government(which aren’t classified) are in the public domain so if the image is assumed to originate from a school promotional uses it is in the public domain(includes images posted by school on social media is not specified otherwise) Rabbipika (talk) 14:57, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Out of Date and lacking information
editThis Article need to have a major rewrite of most of the articles(excluding the first section as it is fine) as
1 A lot of information is confusing written
2 A lot of information about the school like history of the school and notable events/after school activities is missing
3 The writing style of the article sounds like it was written by someone who hasn’t gone to the school in at least 10 years
4 For the section that are there need to be expanded
These are just 5 thing that I noticed in the article and also I am currently am a student at the school who noticed issues with the article Rabbipika (talk) 21:03, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Rabbipika I'd review your own writing before going to criticize another group effort. 2600:1003:B133:9706:F023:A004:6226:135D (talk) 13:35, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am currently going to Edison high school and found that the out dated information took away from the usefulness of the article when researching the school Rabbipika (talk) 17:45, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
