Portrait
editIt would be greatly appreciated if someone could find a copyright-free portrait of him--there must be at least one--and upload it to Wikimedia Commons/the article. For example, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. has portraits of prominent Confederates.Zigzig20s (talk) 06:04, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Presbyterian?
editI am trying to find out if he was Presbyterian, and if we can find the names and sermons of the ministers who served on his plantation. Gay Hill was started as a Presbyterian community. Moreover, most Scottish immigrants were Presbyterian. Please let me know if you are able to find out more about this!Zigzig20s (talk) 06:06, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Notability
edithe cultivated the commodity crops of cotton and sugar cane with slave labor
- So did most planters. What is the notability of 'slave labor'? Is this just a 'Hiss-the-villain' mention? I think we should be told. Valetude (talk) 13:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
