Removed the following:

"He escaped from Nazi Germany at age 8 by skiing across the Alps at night to Switzerland"

This seems slightly dubious, considering Goreau was born in 1924, making Goreau 8 years old in 1932 (preceeding the Nazi consolidation of power in February 1933)
