Thomas F. Stroock's background and conduct as Ambassador are discussed extensively in the book TO SAVE HER LIFE by Dan Saxon, University of California Press, copyright 2007. The author is, or was, a prosecutor for a United Nations International Tribunal and the book, with comprehensive footnotes, is a study of the complexity of human rights policy in Central America.
