religious style "monsignor"

edit

I don't understand religious style "monsignor". In English "monsignor" is an honorific title given to a priest. Bishops are not called "monsignor" in English. In French (and I presume perhaps, mutatis mutandis, some other languages) a Bishop is called Monseigneur.--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 17:59, 29 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

this section is one long sentence and seems to be missing a verb after "Benedict XVI". --2607:FEA8:D5DF:1AF0:204B:A7FC:FE8D:AA75 (talk) 15:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
