I suggest thorough review by an editor. This isn't an encyclopedia article; it's an op-ed against the execution. Statements that cast doubt on the conviction in the main part of the article should be removed, as well as the voluminous legal history. In a nutshell, he was convicted, and his conviction was upheld by the most liberal appeals court in the US - the Ninth Circuit. About 90% of the article is fluff against the death penalty. What year did he die, 1989 or 1998? (143.85.96.18 (talk) 17:29, 7 October 2016 (UTC))Reply

Thomas Thompson was executed July 14, 1998 (anniversary of Bastille Day) at San Quentin State Prison. I was there to protest the UNCONSTITUTIONAL EXECUTION of Thomas Thompson.
