What is an oTENTik? This needs to be explained, if it’s a real thing, or removed if not. awkwafaba (📥) 02:32, 1 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Did the size of this National Park increase?

edit

I was just browsing through recent Orders-in-Council and came across this [1] one from a couple of weeks ago (Nov 25, 2022). It's transferring new land to the NP, and if my quick rough math is correct, this land area for this park just nearly doubled. I just tried to look for news coverage of this and found nothing, can someone read this over and verify? CASalt (talk) 10:12, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

The order already seems to be in effect, this is a snapshot from the Wayback Machine [2] showing the schedule of the Canada National Parks Act in August. Here is the current schedule [3]. Everything from "Thirteenthly" in Part 5 (1) is new, this portion of the schedule defines the parks boundaries. CASalt (talk) 10:21, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
My best guess is that this 'new' land is already included in the 24.4 km figure cited by the article since this land has apparently been de facto governed by Parks Canada since 2006 (according to the "Background" subheading in the "Regulatory Analysis" section of the first link), but if someone else could take a look at this and share their thoughts, that would be appreciated.
