Thrills flavour
editI've never heard of it being compared to rosewater. I've always thought it tasted like lavender. If you do a search for "Thrills gum", a lot of hits will mention "the lavender-flavoured soap gum". It tastes like you're sucking on a bar of lavender-scented soap. (Not that I do that too often.) Then again, I don't know what rosewater tastes like. Is it similar to lavender?
- I have a bottle of rosewater right here and believe me..... Rosewater is an old time baking ingredient.

- I don't think lavender or rosewater is an adequate description, there is clearly more to the flavour than these. I found some similar tasting candies from New Zealand where one of the prominent flavourings was described as musk, and I believe this is the more distinctive ingredient here. Unfortunately I'm not certain what "musk" flavour actually is, it might be artificial. Wikipedia's articles are inadequate about it as a flavouring. - Rainwarrior (talk) 07:24, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

editI believe that "Thrills" should go to the disambiguation page, as having it go here is clearly just advertising for the gum. It would be just as bad if it redirected to the band or one of the songs. ~Sudoku424 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.62.96.183 (talk) 20:40, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
I remember this from the early 1960's. It was a staple of our youth in western canada but the flavour never lasted. I agree it is more lavender and clove than it is rosewater. In about 1980- I happened to be walking by the OPee Chee factory in London Ontario and caught the very distinctive scent of the gum. Visit the OPee-Chee entry to read more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Canadadoc (talk • contribs) 03:21, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
