Books of the series
editAlthough it is not a book that contributes to the content of the novels, the Throne of Glass Coloring Book could be added into this section since it is an add-on to the series.[1][2] --Khaen23 (talk) 01:01, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

General information
editIt should be updated that the books of this series have been translated into other languages and are also available in ebook formats (not just print).[1] --Khaen23 (talk) 01:07, 20 September 2017 (UTC)

Love Affairs
editIn the character descriptions, there is no mention of Celaena's love affairs with Dorian and Chaol. These are very important to the story. Shouldn't that be added? --Lizzie (talk) 01:07, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- Who's stopping you from adding it? -- AlexTW 02:09, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Characters Section
editThere are a few changes I think should be made to the characters section of the article. I mention them here because I would like others' feedback before editing the article, especially because I'm not an experienced Wikipedian and I don't want to make a bunch of changes that don't fit Wikipedia's guidelines.
- Bolding character names – For readability, all the character names should be bolded. I tried to make this edit and it was reverted by GimmeChoco44. However, I still think that the change should be made. While this is not mentioned in MOS:Characters, I looked at the list of featured articles about novels to see if I could find some examples. Most of those articles don't have character lists, but here are three I found that do: 1 2 3. All of the character names are bolded or section headings in these examples. I think the bold would help a lot with readability. Right now the character names don't stand out at all. I would also argue for the colons to be changed to endashes (also supported by these examples) but the bold is the more important part.
- Nehemia – I don't think that Nehemia is a major character. Out of eight total books in the series, I believe Nehemia is alive for two. She is mentioned in several of the other books for sure, but that doesn't make her nearly as important as Aelin, Rowan, Dorian, Chaol, Rowan, and Aedion. I think she should be moved out of the major characters section.
- More characters – There seem to be a lot of characters missing from the existing list. Perhaps a minor characters section should be added? I'm referring to characters such as Archer Finn, Lorcan, Elide, Gavriel, Maeve, Nesryn, and many others (an exhaustive list of characters would be practically endless...). Obviously not every name mentioned in the series needs to be in the characters section, but I think a lot of important ones are missing.
If anyone bothered to read this, thank you and please let me know what you think. TheBlueComb (talk) 15:57, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- I don't have any issue with the 2nd and 3rd points you listed above. But re: bolding character names, I referenced MOS:BOLD, especially the section regarding "Avoid using boldface for emphasis in article text." Also, I checked articles of fantasy book series, such as Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and did not see correlating use of boldface. There is an alternate format that uses bold format when there are separate Wikipedia pages for each character. (ex: Game of Thrones), but Throne of Glass doesn't support that level of detail yet. --GimmeChoco44 (talk) 22:04, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- I take your point about the boldface. Having read the page you linked, I realize that perhaps it may be more appropriate to use this emphasis thing mentioned in MOS:EMPHASIS, since the point is to make the name stand out. I would argue that the fact that all the character names are links makes them stand out in the articles you mentioned. Would emphasis be acceptable? TheBlueComb (talk) 14:39, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
Cleaning of the character description section

About the throne of glass
editTell me if this is true i heard you have to read part of one book then part of the second book just to understand whats happening in the book series someone please tell me if it is ture 139.55.15.166 (talk) 01:29, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- I personally would recommend reading the book series in order, but this is also not really the place to ask how to read the books. If you were to read them, just read them 1, 2, 3 etc like any other book series. Realtent (talk) 15:07, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
