Does she play bass?
editThe article states: "She emerged into the public spotlight when cast as Cassandra, a rock singer and love interest of Mike Myers' character Wayne... . A trained singer, Carrere performed all of her own songs in the two films, and the Wayne's World soundtrack features her vocals."
In her on-screen musical performances, she's not only the singer, but also the bassist. Did she actually play the bass in her performances, on-screen and/or on the soundtrack? --Davecampbell 22:40, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes she was trained by the then boyfriend of director Penelope Spheeris. He is also in Cassandra's band.
Singing in Wayne's World 2?
editRegarding the article's statement that she sings in both of the [[Wayne's World movies: does she actually do any singing in Wayne's World 2? I watched that movie again last night; and I noticed that while her band figures into the plot of the second movie significantly, her band doesn't play in the second movie like it did in the first one. Please correct me if I am mistaken, but I don't think the other members of the band had any significant role in the sequel. --Idont Havaname (Talk) 19:23, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Spanish or Portuguese?
editI am curious about this part of her info, because her real name sounds very much Portuguese and not very Spanish at all. Yet everywhere it says she is of part-Spanish origin. Now this can't be correct, can it?
Carrere is of Philippine ethnicity. Many Filipinos are of mixed Malay (indigenous), Chinese and Spanish ancestry. Of course people of Philippine enthnicity can have surnames representing many other cultures. (71.22.47.232 (talk)) —Preceding undated comment added 02:15, 18 August 2010 (UTC).
Missing Movie
editWhat about "Golden Child?" It is the movie which introduced me to her. I'm sure it deserves mention.
Eazzy65 (talk) 21:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC) The actress in The Golden Child is Charlotte Lewis, whose Hollywood career is hindered by her attempt to get justice for the teenage victim of Roman Polanski, see her bio in Wikipedia.Ern Malleyscrub (talk) 12:01, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
She also appeared in the 1988 TV miniseries "Noble House" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.177.90.62 (talk) 03:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- I added brackets to the Lewis' name so that it's easier for people to just click to read the article about her. Dismas|(talk) 13:21, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Picture
editNormally this would be an awesome main picture for the article, except the guy in the background staring down her top. Sheesh. Lots42 (talk) 14:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC) The guy has been partly eliminated by cropping on the right, now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.34.71 (talk) 15:17, 3 March 2009 (UTC) The whole picture you complained about has been eliminated now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.194.200 (talk) 16:40, 7 April 2010 (UTC) The guy seems to have been Simon Wakelin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.55.101 (talk) 10:39, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Award
editThe "Lifetime Achievement Award" was made when it was clear that Tia was involved in obscenities. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.158.174 (talk) 11:06, 13 September 2008 (UTC) Tia seems to have received a separate commendation as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.158.174 (talk) 11:20, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

The entry explains that she was born and raised in Hawaii. Does that clarify things at all? (71.22.47.232 (talk)) —Preceding undated comment added 02:18, 18 August 2010 (UTC).
- No. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.194.200 (talk) 15:45, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Contradiction
editThis article states that she currently lives in Toronto. This contradicts Simon Wakelin which states he lives in Los Angeles. They are a married couple so that would seem to conflict. NorthernThunder (talk) 11:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC) The two now live apart. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.194.200 (talk) 15:46, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Bianca
editBianca is variously said to have been born in 2003 and 2005. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.158.207.21 (talk) 11:07, 4 March 2009 (UTC) TMZ.com implies that Bianca was born in 2005. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.194.200 (talk) 15:53, 9 September 2010 (UTC) Photos imply that Bianca was about four in 2009, making 2005 the correct year of birth for her. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.194.200 (talk) 14:46, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Descent categories
editShe is under asian, filipino and spanish descent categories. However, there's no information about this in the article. Should we remove them? --95.120.78.19 (talk) 08:46, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Most can only trace their ancestors back two or three generations. Verbal tradition has to be used before that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.176.127.7 (talk) 13:19, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

1985
editTia might have appeared in a TV film in 1985 called Covenant in an uncredited role. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.171.217.231 (talk) 12:29, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Murder One
editTia played Beverly Nichols, girlfriend of Richard Cross, in Murder One (1995). This credit didn't show up on the main page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.38.197.207 (talk) 23:38, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
Pronunciation
editTia Carrere does not pronounce the last e in her name. This can be fact-checked by simply going to her website and watching some of the Cameo videos she has made (link on her website). It appears to me that the pronunciation guide for her name in the article indicates that the last e should be pronounced. I did not change anything because the Wikipedia master pronunciation guide "Help:IPA/English" states that consensus should be reached on the talk page first. Unless I am reading the pronunciation incorrectly, it should be changed. 2601:41:200:5260:FD14:D1F5:DE53:20C (talk) 22:29, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
First TV appearance
editThe sentence makes no sense as it is written; was her first TV appearance in Airwolf or Cover up?
"Following this success, Carrere returned to Los Angeles, and after working several months as a model, was hired in early 1985 for her first television role, a guest appearance on an episode of the American series Airwolf; the episode aired in November 1985, after her first on-screen television appearance, in a March 1985 episode of Cover Up." 2001:8003:8008:8A00:5826:BC57:AA94:F37E (talk) 04:24, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
