Ticino League → League of Ticinesians – "Ticino League" is a wrong translation of the original name and it has not a so wide diffusion in the sources to justify a wrong title. "League of Ticinesians" seems to be a better translation and it is also used in a number of sources. Another possible translation is "League of Ticinese People", but this translation is very little diffused. Otherwise it would be better to have the original name of the party as title (Lega dei Ticinesi). Scia Della Cometa (talk) 14:43, 25 September 2021 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose. Accurate it may be, but the proposed title sounds awkward in English, and more importantly, is not common. "League of (the) Ticinese People" is used by a couple of sources in the article, but is even less common in news articles. The current title is far more common than either of these. However, Lega dei Ticinesi is even more common. Even sources like this that translate "Northern League" and "Lombardic League" don't translate this one. Likewise, publications like this that translate the names of other Swiss political parties, don't translate the name of the Lega dei Ticinesi. Therefore, I do not oppose a move to that title. — AjaxSmack 04:32, 2 October 2021 (UTC)
- @AjaxSmack: I proposed to move this page to "League of Ticinesians" because I saw that name in some sources, but I wasn't completely convinced either. For this reason I wanted to read other users' opinions too. I totally agree to move the page to "Lega dei Ticinesi".--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 09:20, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. "Ticino League" is the commonly-used translation in English language literature, e.g. example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4, example 5, example 6.--Autospark (talk) 15:53, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
