No I am a chemistry student who is writting a paper himself. Its maturity comes from the fact that I have been researching it for 2 months and is worth a large portion of my grade. By next week, it will have cititations and pictures up. I might need help with loading up images. Please give advice for that!

Missing Figures

From the excellent discussion, there may be subtle points that I might miss by writing a mechanism without access to any of the background. Mechanism

Could someone tell me directly what the mechanism of this reaction really is? Is it diazotisation and then departure of N₂ followed by a semipinacol rearrangement? Thanks. --Choij (talk) 11:59, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Article currently has an image of the mechanism, but it's poor quality (.gif). There's a text overview describing the process, but it contradicts the diagrams (prose says there's a 1° C⁺, which seems unlikely). DMacks (talk) 09:34, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
